MATCH REPORT | BANWELL FIRSTS 6 - 0 WELTON ROVERS RESERVES
Banwell hit 6!!
Banwell welcomed Welton Rovers to the Riverside yesterday and came away with all three points to continue a decent start to the season.
Banwell started the game in rather lacklustre fashion, struggling to get into their normal rhythm. After a frustrating opening 20 minutes, Reece Parsons finally put Banwell ahead with a close-range finish.
Jayden Stockhall then doubled the lead with a great strike from 25 yards out, and that’s how it remained until half time.
Banwell started the second half at a quicker pace and began creating chance after chance, only to be denied by the opposition goalkeeper and some sloppy finishing.
Second-half substitute Bartek Bielanski finally got the breakthrough with a smart finish, before George Darch made it 4 with a great finish at the far post.
Reece Parsons then made it 5 with his 9th league goal in just 5 appearances!!
Bartek Bielanski then completed the scoring to make it 6 and cap off a great second-half performance.
🏆 POTM went to two players this week — Callum French and Michael Ncube.

“Although I was obviously pleased with the three points, the game also had its frustrations with some really sloppy finishing!”
We look forward to a tough test in the Cup next week, away to Peasedown Albion.
