For those who wish to develop their personal skills in the hills and lowlands, lots of topics are covered from equipment selection to map and compass navigation this course is a real kick starter for anybody interested in the outdoors.

What a great day out on the water today with Sarah and Justin Pilkington. The morning started with drizzle and foreboding skies, but Puffin Island, Anglesey once again proved to have all the elements of a classic sea kayak trip: playful seals, puffins, plenty of challenge in the sound, and glorious sunshine to finish the trip.

Excitement at the centre today as the Tour of Britain hurtled passed our gate. The MSc Geography students took a break from their studies to join Plas Caerdeon staff on the roadside.
