Happy 1 millionth parkrun event!

Teesdale AC headed to Hamsterley Forest to join the parkrun celebrations this morning, on what is possibly the most beautiful parkrun course

15 members in attendance, with Jack coming in 1st, Steve 2nd, Kornel 4th, Sarah 5th (and first lady), Josh 7th, Rhys 8th, to name a few! Lots of very close to PBs for the club, huge well done to Chloe M who achieved a PB!!

🖤💛 Twas on the ninth of Joon, Eighteen Hundred and Sixty Two, on a summer's afternoon... and the Geordie weather was a little less summer's afternoon and more torrential rain... thankfully the Blaydon Gods made the rain stop just in time for the start of the race! 💛🖤

A bit of competitiveness between our first 2 men home, in their first Blaydon Race, and excellent running by all of Team TAC!

We had a brilliant morning with a club volunteer takeover at our favourite The Demesnes parkrun!

Well done to Francesca, who completed the Northumberland Festival of Sport sprint triathlon today, at the beautiful Druridge Bay Country Park 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏊‍♀️

Another weekend of parkrun in the sun!

We had runners & volunteers at The Demesnes, Hamsterley and Darlington South Park, but shout out has to Hilary, who got the coveted parkrun alphabet letter Z at Zalew Żyrardowski parkrun in Poland!

This week's sessions... meet at Barnard Castle Post Office for a 6pm start, new members welcome!

🏃‍♀️ Thursday - Riverside South fast miles

We also have our Couch to 5k sessions running, and Saturday sees a club volunteer takeover at The Demesnes parkrun!

🏃‍♂️Well done to Jack, who ran the 3000m at the NEGP 2 at Monkton stadium on Wednesday night, coming 2nd in his heat with a time of 10:06 👏

TAC Sunday round up - It's been a busy week of running!

Kicking off with our track session at Shildon on Monday, then our normal Tuesday & Thursday sessions, with Couch to 5k running alongside

Hamsterley Forest parkrun yesterday saw Steve coming in 2nd, Kornel 3rd (3rd course PB in a row! 👏), Josh 6th, Sarah 7th and 1st lady 👏

At The Demesnes, Emma came in as second female, pipped at the post after holding 1st Female most the way! Rhys came in 9th. We were also super proud to see some of our amazing Couch to 5k participants running their first parkrun, brilliant!! 👏.

Club Championship at Northallerton 10k today was very hot and very competitive! James 38th, Rhys 124th, Ellie 182nd, Carrie 504th, Emma 549th, Claire 650th, Andrew 562nd (and 3rd in Age Category), and Roxy 1070th (5th in Age Category U18F)

Saturday saw a Club Championship event at The Demesnes parkrun, with 14 members running and another volunteering. 3 course PBs this weekend!

Sunday mornings are made for long runs, and a group of 10 set off on a undulating 10 mile run in the beautiful Teesdale countryside

This week's sessions, meet at the Post Office for a 6pm start, new members welcome:
🏃‍♀️ Tuesday - Mount Eff Trail run, approx 4.8 miles (and yes, it does involve running UP Mount Eff...)
🏃‍♂️ Thursday - Gray Lane Hills

And of course, we have our C25Kers who are doing amazing and on week 5!

Training sessions in Britain... when it can go from hailstones an hour before session starts, beautiful blue skies during the session... and then torrential downpour at the end... 🦆☔️

🏃‍♀️ Saturday is parkrun day! Down at The Demesnes parkrun, well done to Kornel on 3rd place in 21.26 and a new PB, and Joshua 4th place 21.30 and also a new PB. Great club turnout at The Demesnes! Joanne headed to Rothay Park in Ambleside for parkrun tourism and ticking another letter off the parkrun alphabet, while Carrie and Andrew headed to Sedgefield

🏃‍♂️ After parkrun, Gail then managed to catch up with Al Pepper on his River Tees Run (Dufton to Middlesbrough, 90+ miles), joining him from Middleton to Eggleston bridge

🏃‍♀️ Monday night saw us back at Shildon track for a (rather chilly!) session
