A huge thank you to everyone who attended Geoff’s Day at Barnard Castle Golf Club last month in memory of our former Chairman, Geoff.

We are delighted to share the final totals raised on the day. An incredible £640 was raised for Barnard Castle Golf Club, while a further £660 was generated through the cake sale, tombola and auction for St Teresa’s Hospice, who provided outstanding care and support to Geoff and his family during his final days.

Despite the challenging weather, it was a fantastic day and a fitting tribute to a much-loved former Chairman. It was wonderful to see so many members, friends and family come together to celebrate Geoff’s life and legacy. We know he would have been immensely proud to see such a tremendous turnout and the generosity shown by everyone involved.

On behalf of the Club, thank you to all who attended, donated and helped make the day such a success.

The Ladies Sivewright team had their first home match of the 2026 season v Blackwell.. on Friday ..lovely sunny but breezy day , once again Barney ladies stuck to their task and had great performances which led to the match being won 4-1 . Afterwards Jack and his team served up some great food.

What a night for Barnard Castle Golf Club as we powered to a superb 19-5 victory over Blackwell Grange! 💪⛳

The result was made even more impressive by the conditions, with 30mph winds and torrential downpours at times making scoring and match play incredibly tough. The lads dug deep, battled through the elements and produced a fantastic team performance.
