Since its re-design several years ago, this new par 73 course has matured into an excellent 18 hole venue. Natural water hazards can catch you out , with streams and a pond coming into play no fewer than 15 times in your round - maybe more for some! And many new trees and shrubs around the course are now well established, creating more problems for an erratic shot. This easy walking, open parkland course is a picturesque spot high above the River Tees and presents stunning views of the surrounding Durham countryside. Visitors return to play the course year after year - tribute to the excellent condition and overall beauty of the course. This 6406 - white yards - par 73 offers a series of different tests, but keep the ball straight and it is very fair. There is an abundance of wild life on the course-curlews, pheasants and many other bird species are regularly seen.
