WestysGym - Updates

We are now in the process of building a system where members will be able to request a new Smart Entry Key.

Smart Entry Keys are generated Free when you first sign up and if you require a new one there is a £5 administrator fee.

We will generate a QR Code / Link to the Request Smart Access Key.

To pass security checks you will use ur name and also email address you signed up with, if you have updated ur mobile number you will input ur old number and then new number (this will cross reference on our database)

Once security is passed you will be sent a new Smart Access Key via WhatsApp

We hope to have this built in the next 2/3 days

QR Code / Link will be published on here and we will also put it on a sign on the Gym Door as well as notice board

WestysGym - Admin Updates

Ok these past few weeks we have been working hard at updating the repetitive work involved with running the gym with many long days coding / programming.

We are pleased to report we now have in place the following

* Monthly Direct Debit Checker

Automated Monthly Direct Debit Checking (this basically cross references each active member against each months direct debits coming in)

It works flawlessly and automatically will contact members who’s payment hasn’t been made

* Membership Signup

We have streamlined the Signup process with each new or returning member automatically inputted into our Database.

The only manual thing we need to do per person is Generate a Paxton10 Smart Access Key and send this to Customers via WhatsApp

We are looking at building a system that will automate the WhatsApp side which will leave us just having to generate the Paxton10 smart access key (no way around automating generating the key unfortunately)

Next system we are looking at building is a Request new Paxton10 Smart Access Key for ur phone, there is going to be a small admin charge for this at £2.50 with first key given free of charge

We do hope to have this Request New Key running in the coming week

WestysGym - Free WiFi

Over the past number of months the WiFi has been down in the gym due to demand overload and the router freezing

The fix has been to just switch the WiFi Router off then back on and it resets

This is until it get an overload of use then back to square one

Great news is we have found a way to automatically reset the WiFi Router every 24hrs, basically we have fitted a timer power supply that turns off / on when we program it.

So Every night at 12 the WiFi Router will reset itself.

WestysGym - New Signup System

We have totally rebuilt the Signup to our Gym with a much improved system.

This new Signup Form is going to allow us to automate almost all the process meaning you get access to the Gym Faster.

We have 4 Members to process on the old Signup form which we plan on doing in the next 24hrs.

We do have over 20 places available so if a friend or family member wants to join they can do so here.

WestysGym - Signing Up

We are in the process of totally
Rebuilding the signup process and switching from our old online sign up form to a new system.

Reason for this is that it’s more streamline and the actual direct debit with GoCardless is integrated into the new Signup form instead of being a separate link.

This is going to allow us to automate majority of the process our end meaning new members will get Gym Access almost instantly.

Great news also with the new Monthly Automated Payment checker it’s highlighter a few discrepancies in our Gym Database, where on our database it looked like we had more members than we do.

We have freed up just over 20 Membership Places meaning people on our waiting list are going to get instant access and the first month free of charge

WestysGym - Maintenance

Tomorrow 10th September we have an electrician on site doing a full electrics inspection.

They are also going to be changing all the light fittings in the Cardio room for LED type lights this is due to a few being out and better long run to replace them all.

Could we kindly ask if they need an area to work could you train in a different area, it’s only for a day or two and it’s an upgrade to the gym.

We are also looking into why the Free WiFi drops in / out and should hopefully fix this

WestysGym - Payment Check

Awesome news the Payment Automated Checking System is working perfectly and it’s going to free up so much time per month.

One final thing to code into the program is to Automatically Send out a Text (sms) to the Non Payers with a payment link.

Next week I’ll start building a program to automate the sign up process to new Members can get access into the Gym Faster.

We are into our 22nd Year of being open which is amazing
