A disappointing result for the boys this morning against a good Bramley side from the division above.
The boys were arguably on top for large spells of the first half before a mad five-minute spell saw Bramley score two quick goals and take control of the game. The second half started brightly and there were signs of a way back into the contest, but conceding again at the wrong time made the task even more difficult.
There never quite seemed to be the same confidence in possession that we've seen in recent weeks. At times, the ball was moved on too quickly under pressure rather than being received and used with the composure and belief the boys are capable of showing.
The boys certainly had their chances and were in the game throughout, but couldn't make the most of some good opportunities they created and ultimately gave away a couple of soft goals at key moments.
Credit must go to Bramley, whose work rate, intensity and pressing made it difficult to settle into a rhythm and play with confidence.
While it wasn't the result we wanted, one game doesn't take away from the excellent start the boys have made to the season or the positive performances they've produced so far. The focus now is on responding positively and looking forward to the next challenge.

Brilliant composure and quick feet to send a three-man press "to Sainsbury's" before calmly playing his way out of trouble.
