Barnsley Basketball Charity Event

WOW , WHERE DO I START?!

This event has not only done its service to charity but its also done a service to the basketball world.

This event is something i've loved doing for the last 5 years (6 events)! The amount of connections that are made between players, officials and spectators is something to behold.

All star t-shirts, prize balls and much more that adds that special touch to the day.

The companies thats been involved in sponsoring the event with prize balls, game balls and all star t-shirts. I can't thank them enough, its really made the event what it is today 🥲

Players show up, they laugh, they smile and they connect with other people! This is why i created am event like this.

Just want to thank everyone involved, never dreamed of this reaching out to so many or becoming a yearly event but you all made it happen!

🕘9:00am start. This is for people wanting to warm up. The games will start at 9:15am due to us needing to get games underway to fit everything in. The 1st fixture is 🔵 VS 🟣. Please come and see me when you arrive just so I can tick you off.

🏀Please come wearing the right kit to play. Players need basketball shoes, shorts and a top as standard (PLEASE TRY AND WEAR YOUR TEAM COLOUR AS BIBS ARE LIMITED).

💧Please bring plenty of water as its still forecast to be warm on the day! There are water machines on site as well so please stay hydrated! There are 100 minutes of basketball for each team plus another 20 minutes for the all star game.

📸I would like a photo of each team so before the games tip off I will get a photo of each team. Around mid day, when I know everyone's there we will have one of all the players.

⭐️All star players will be announced at the end of each game. Each all star player will receive a Red or Blue t-shirt to keep. These are completely bespoke thanks to Karl Buitendam at sixthman😍 There are 5 wild cards as well chosen to play in the all star game at the end.

⛹️There are 3 qualified referees there on the day. Please respect these, they are there to make sure the games are controlled! I know people are competitive etc which is what we want to see however the refs are to be respected at all times!

🏀Player prizes will be announced on the day as the day goes on! We have around 25 player prize balls to give away!
