Another impressive competition at the Shindo Kai Nationals!

We took a small team 10 and came away with 7 medals and winning 2 of the sections!

You guys make the karate club as great and amazing as it is!!

🥇 Mason - Gold - Kickmaster - quality as always nothing else to say!

🥇 Harry - Gold Ind Kata - Good clean kata to win the section winning all 3 flags

🥈 Mason - Silver - Ind Kata - got through 2 round’s. Great achievement for the first appearance in the adults section.

🥉10-12 Pairs Kata- Bronze - George and Reece - impressive display first time as a pair, looked like it was their 100th time! Great effort, definitely something to work with.

🥉Lucy - Bronze - through 2 rounds in Kickmaster didn’t drop a flag until the semi finals where she went down 4-1 to the eventual winner of the section!

🥉Ellis - Bronze - always makes us proud in his section, a little bit more strength and there is no doubt the colour of the medal would have been different!

🥉Darcy - Bronze - the baby of the group today, went on and gave it her all and came away with a Bronze medal!

Special mention to the Bracha Girls, always turn up, always try their hardest, they hardly get and “decent” draws. But they’re always there!!

Also want to mention Kayden, rocked up, performed a brilliant kata, picked up a flag but lost to an eventual medalist! Really proud for him turning up and putting the effort in!

£5 cash pp we have no card machines .

Competitors show your in date red licence book to the door staff to get your competitors wrist band.

Sit in front of the area that has most of your action on it.

All the chairs from the sports centre will be used, none will be available if we run out.

Doors open 8.15
Refs brief 9.00 am
Awards 9 20 am
Starts 9.30am

Looking at a 3.30 finish for all areas. Please go home any time through the day.

The big day is almost here! 👊

Our students are heading to the Shindo Kai National Karate Championships at Honeywell Sport Centre, Barnsley on:

⏰ Competition starts at 9:30am
🚪Doors open at 8:15am

There will be two events:

🦵 KICK MASTER

A fantastic opportunity for our students to put their training into practice, test themselves against other karateka and, most importantly, enjoy the experience! 💪🔥

💰Spectators – £5 cash

⚠️ PLEASE REMEMBER:
All competitors must have an in-date licence to compete and must wear a white karate suit.

🏆 Points are awarded for placings, with the overall winner taking home the BIG TROPHY!

Sensei Lucy and Sensei George!

I’m am proud as punch with how far these guys have come!

Nerves got the better of Lucy back in April when she was originally due to grade but today she has shown us all that she has got what it takes and more! Incredible grading and incredible effort, also, even a little bit of claret on the karate suit! Things we all love to see 😉😲

George has taken everything on board and listened to everything that he’s been shown and taught! He’s genuinely one of the kids that shows and incredible amount of interest in karate! It’s great to see! 🙌🙌

Our competition entry for October 11th!

Can you make sure your licences are in date

We’ll be doing a check this week to make sure everyone who has their name down has got an in date licence!

Also one to keep in mind, to Dan grade we need to be filling the back page of association events.

Kumite course, Kata course and Dan grading!
If you are Dan grading you need to be at both the kata course and the Dan grading.
These course are perfect for improving your karate skills!
Course fees - £6 per course or £10 for both.
£40 Dan Grading Fee.
I’ll need all Dan grading applications in by Thursday evening.
