Good morning all đ
Not long now before the David Brown Memorial Charity shoot in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We are nearly ready to go and we are super excited to host this event.
We don't have an accurate postcode but if you type in S75 1LX it will take you just outside of the road that leads to the shoot. The gate is located using WhatThreeWords just.pans.using. Just follow the track down the side of the railway and you'll see the shoot.
Remember anyone is welcome to shoot, you don't have to be a member, there's non member prizes too!!
The shoot is a 50 target shoot shot over 6 stands and it will be squaded. Booking will start around 10am until 10:50. The shoot is strictly fibre only, and only clay loads, no game loads. We will commence shooting around 11am after a brief talk from Tom Brown and we will be holding a minutes silence in honour of David brown and for all the people who are sadly no longer with us. We expect this event to be busy so please allow extra time to shoot and also please be patient afterwards.
The prize giving ceremony will be held at the Millers Inn after the shoot has finished.
Raffle tickets are available to be purchased throughout the shoot and back at the pub until we start serving the food. These are priced at ÂŁ1.50 per ticket or ÂŁ5 a strip. The draw will take place back at the pub if you can try and be there to collect prizes that would be greatly appreciated. If anyone wishes to donate anything to the raffle that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you to those that have already supported us generously, without you, we couldn't make this event as good as it already is, for that we thank you.
Hope to see you there, any questions, please ask!!

Itâs that time of year again â hard to believe another 12 months have flown by!
This yearâs David Brown Memorial Shoot will take place a little earlier than usual, on Sunday 2nd November. The format remains the same as in previous years: 50 targets shot over 6 stands, squadded, and strictly fibre wad only.
As always, weâre proud to support the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, a charity that was very close to Davidâs heart.
Full details will be shared soon, but in the meantime, if anyone would like to donate a prize for the raffle, please get in touch â every contribution makes a difference.
Weâre looking forward to another fantastic day celebrating a great cause, and remembering an even greater man.

Hi all,
Thank you again to everyone who showed up on Sunday 1st December to the âDavid Brown memorial shootâ.
My dad started his charity shoot back in 2017 originally the âBrowns BG Shootâ to raise money for his favourite charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance đ
Since his passing we have continued to raise money each year in his memory and so far we have raised a staggering grand total of ÂŁ4127.20!
This would not be possible without everyone who turns up year on year and offers their help and support where they can amongst all the donations.
So I want to say a massive thank you!
I know David would be very grateful đ

Good afternoon all, after totaling up all of the money from the raffle, various donations and the contributions from the entry fees from the shoot, I am proud to announce that the total money raised at this years David Brown Memorial Shoot in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is a fantastic grand total of ÂŁ1187.20!!!
Thank you so much to everyone that came and supported the event and for everyoneâs donations. Our target from last year was to break the 1k mark and itâs been well and truly smashed. This is an absolutely amazing amount and we couldnât have done it without you all â¤ď¸

Good Morning all, hope id just like to thank everyone that came to support the David Brown Memorial charity shoot yesterday. Without all your support we canât do what we do.
We are still totaling up the money raised from this years shoot and raffle and we will let you know very soon.
As for the full shoot results i will post these here in due course. But a big congratulations to all the winners and the high gun Phil Rowbottom with a tremendous score of 47/50.
I hope you enjoyed all the targets and the event.
Id like to extend a massive thank you to all those that support the event year on year. James and the memebers of the shoot that braved the weather early morning to set the shoot up. To David Baines for his continued support with prizes and contributions to the funds. Donna and Adam from Military Masterpieces for making the stunning medals year on year and the amazing prizes they donated to the raffle. Teagan from Tâs Treats for her lovely deserts donated to the raffle. To all the people that donated extra gifts for the raffle. And finally my family for all the work behind the scenes purchasing prizes, running the admin on the day and all the baked goods and prize money.
It warms my heart to see all the lovely people that make the day a great success while raising money for the worthy cause of the Yorkshire air ambulance.
Many thanks again and much love
Tom Brown

Sundayâs weather looks to be a bit showery in places so Iâd recommend outdoor footwear or wellies as it can be muddy at times, but please donât come in the pub with muddy boots or wellies.
We canât wait to see you all tomorrow, if anyone has any questions please donât hesitate to ask.
