We’re super excited about our upcoming Signing Day as our squads continue to come together for the JPL 2026/27 season. There is so much to look forward to, and we believe this is just the beginning of something special at Love Life .

🚍⚽ We’re also super excited for our Under-12s 2026/27 team, who will be travelling to York next week for a series of games. It’s going to be a fantastic experience for the lads and another great opportunity for them to develop, compete, and grow together as a team.

⚽️🙏 The last 24 hours have been a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but today was a really productive and encouraging day.

It was a privilege to travel to Carrington, the home of Manchester United Academy, and spend the day learning alongside fellow colleagues on talent identification and player development.

Over the years, I’ve had countless phone calls, texts, and conversations with parents regarding young players and their football journeys. So I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the Manchester United Yorkshire scouting team and, by God’s grace, play a small part in helping identify and support the next generation of talented young footballers.

I’m thankful for the journey, thankful for the opportunity, and excited for what lies ahead.

Massive congratulations to the many players across different age groups, from Under-9s through to Under-15s, who have been retained by their professional academy clubs for the 2026–27 season.

We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud of every one of you. It is a real testimony to the hard work, commitment, and dedication that you have shown throughout the season.

A huge thank you also goes to our coaching staff for their contribution to the development of so many young players, and to the parents who make countless sacrifices, driving their children up and down the country and providing unwavering support along the way.

We would also like to say how much we appreciate the messages we have received from parents thanking our academy for its contribution to their child’s development. Those messages mean a lot to us. The reality is that teamwork makes the dream work. When I talk about a team, I’m referring to grassroots coaches, our elite academy coaching staff, pro academy staff, and parents all working together for the benefit of the child. Every one of those relationships plays an important role in a young player’s development and journey.

Most importantly, well done to the players themselves. Staying focused, working hard, and retaining your place within a professional academy environment is a fantastic achievement.

Talent ID U5s / U6s

What is IDP?
IDP stands for Individual Development Plans.

This special Yorkshire’s Got Talent IDP programme is designed to place defenders, midfielders, and attackers into small groups for individual, position-specific coaching delivered by Barnsley FC Academy coaches at the Barnsley Fc Academy.

Over the course of the programme, players will receive detailed coaching tailored specifically to their position before coming together for game related session and compete in a showcase game at the end of the month of June.

These sessions are designed to provide:

✅ Small group coaching
✅ Individual attention to detail
✅ Position-specific development
✅ Game-related practices
✅ Showcase opportunities in front of academy decision makers

This is another fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent in front of the decision makers at Barnsley FC Academy.
