Ok.....Swanlands near Thorne and we fished Chestnut lake, and the results.
1st Mathew Laban 92lb 3oz.
2nd Rob Rothman 49lb 8oz.
3rd Andy Mott 39lb 12oz.
Sections were ..Toller and waggler man Gary Sweeting.
Well done to all but Gary you will have to do better to get your name in the top three. Lol.
Knockout...Paul Carnall v Rob Beatson. Well done Rob and Chippy v nobody, he only had to catch a fish and did....you're thro to the next round.
Next match is a memorial match of Brian Needham this coming Saturday. Due to the low water levels, only ten will fish because keep nets will be submerged. As for the club match, I do believe it's lodgefarm main lake the following weekend. This will get carp anglers giddy, as there's some big boys in there. Myself bream n f1s are my target, infact anything that swims. Cheers.

Yesterday was the yearly match on Milton top pond in the memory of Mr Tony White who is fishing in the sky with his other buddies. Due to the dry weather, Mark Henry and Simon Hez picked ten pegs due to the water being low so keep nets would be safe to use so the fish were protected. The results are......
1st Rob Beatson....55lb 6oz.
2nd Paul Briggs....32lb 5oz.
3rd Toller...31lb 6oz.
4th Dave Rose....30lb 10oz.
Biggest carp went to Rob Beatson and biggest roach to Briggsy.
Tony White's family came down, Dave, Mark, and Kevin, who has now moved back to England, we're onlookers and donated monies to the winners of the biggest carp(again the only one I think) and roach caught. 242lb of silvers, were caught between the nine anglers thereabouts so not a bad days angling were had. Would like to thank Mark Henry for letting us have the top pond in memory of Tony White, and thank Dave and Kevin White for donating monies to the prizes. Thankyou.

Won't be going myself as I can't be bothered to travel, so good luck guys. Well done to all who stuck it out at Hayton, and well done guys who went home early lol.

Apologies for the photo, I lost the original by hitting the wrong button.
Ok, we were at Hayfield Big Adams lake, not been there since they first opened when it was one large lake. Anyway the results.
1st Gary Sweeting...146lb 11oz.
2nd Toller...142lb 7oz.

Knockout was Mathew Laban v Chippy. Well done Chippy you're through to the next round. Well done all, it was windy, prob been better wind surfing. Weights considering the wind, were good . Think the pairs winners were Gary and Briggsy. Well it's Hayton Pintail this Saturday. The last time we went all the pegs were under water and the fish were spawning. See what happens this time. Cheers.

Oki doki, our match was at Messingham Sands island. A bit of a journey and a last minute decision on my behalf to go. Weather was a bit cooler, not much, but a bit of a breeze to ease the heat. Anyway here's the results.
1st Rob Beatson 188lb 2oz.
2nd Toller 76lb 3oz.
3rd Rob Rothman 48lb 6oz.
Sections were Simon Hez and Craig Fairbrother.
Knockout was Briggsy v Mick Ackroyd. Neither could turn up so they are out. Next match is at Hayfield two weeks today.
Well done guys anyway, great weight by Mr Beatson. When you dip your hand in that bag anything can happen. Just adapt and enjoy your days fishing and my rule is KIS....KEEP IT SIMPLE. Cheers.

Short trip to lodgefarm Field side. Not everyone's cuppa cos it means carrying your tackle but that's how it is, bit diff when you crossed two maybe three fields, over gates, with one keep net, one or two at most rods still in a cloth bag and a wicker basket over your shoulder and a metal landing net handle. Ah well with the stuff we've got everybody would be going home. Any that's our trip of yesteryear mentioned. RESULTS.
1ST Paul Carnell...134lb 09oz.
2nd Paul Briggs... 110lb 03oz.
3rd Craig Fairbrother...81lb 11oz.
4th Chippy...78lb 07oz.
No sections this week, not enough of us. Knockout was Gary Sweeting n Rob Rothman, well done Gary you're through. A tough match on the lower numbers, wind didn't help, plus all the best weights came from the other end...but that's fishing for ya. Next match, a longer drive and possibly a late get home arrival is Messingham Sands island. Cheers.

Match at Hayton Pintail on Saturday.
Results are thus....
1st Toller 66lb 9
2nd Mark Henry 30lb 10.l
3rd Gary Sweeting 34lb 7.
Sections Paul Carnell and Andy Mott. The match was hard as in my opinion, were spawning so no interest in feeding at all, some dissatisfaction of the venue by anglers, but that's fishing. Cheers. My mistake, got second and third wrong way round. Gary second, Mark third.

Middle lake at Barnboro was our desired option to fish a match.....and the results.
1st Toller 85lb 1oz

Simon Hez n Chippy won their section. Winner of the pairs were Mark Henry n Mick Ackroyd. The knockout was Rob Walker n Andy Johnson but neither came so both are out.
Well done to all. Next one is at Hayton next month.
