Match at Hayton Pintail on Saturday.
Results are thus....
1st Toller 66lb 9
2nd Mark Henry 30lb 10.l
3rd Gary Sweeting 34lb 7.
Sections Paul Carnell and Andy Mott. The match was hard as in my opinion, were spawning so no interest in feeding at all, some dissatisfaction of the venue by anglers, but that's fishing. Cheers. My mistake, got second and third wrong way round. Gary second, Mark third.

Hi all, even though I'm not running things anymore, I will keep our match info up to date. Ok first match of the season at Lakeside Ranskill, now unfortunately we booked Brook lake, but on arrival we were told we are on Rainbow. A similar water, and for Motty had he been fishing, it was nearer the toilets.
Ok the results.
1st Rob Rothman peg 21....50lb 14oz.
2nd Paul Briggs peg 19...47lb 3oz.
3rd Rob Beatson peg 8...46lb 12oz.
Sections were Tollerfield and Mathew.
Well done all, difficult but early season is always like that, though the same ones moan about it every year. Ya can't control mother nature. Also the winner(that's me) has now joined the Lying Bast**** Club for not predicting my weight. Thanks for letting me join lol.
Well done all, and see you at Barnboro bottom pond in two weeks time. Oh and well done Simon on his first match as Club secretary, peg sorter outerer, weigher inner, complaints guy, his fault if the weather's crap, it's s**t fishing here, and anything thats got f all to do with him. Cheers 🍻

Not long to go now for the first match, provided we can afford the fuel to get there. I've just joined Tin Mill fishing and looking forward to fishing the lakes and river this year. See what happens at the matches and let the new match organiser do his thing, good luck Simon.

This is next years matches. Unfortunately there's none that are just silver fish. We go on suggestions and 99% anglers won't fish silvers venues. I had to abandone rivers as we were lucky if six turned up. Now I've retired from running the club myself and Mark Henry will be visiting some rivers next year to have some proper fishing. Just saying lol.

Well that's it from me. I've stepped down from being club secretary, treasurer, peg man, weighman, and venue booker, weatherman and punch bag. Simon Hez has taken over the role now and I'm sure he will be good at it. Got a feeling he won't take any crap off anyone, so good luck pal, I'm there for ya.
I will be carrying on with this site and still fishing with the club as a member so results will be coming on when the new season starts. Some spare places to fill if anyone interested.
Thanks for the support from past and present members and Merry Christmas to you all. Cheers.

Last match of 2025 was at Aston Stable and also for the last two knockout guys Motty and Chippy and here are the results.
1st Paul Briggs 41lb 9oz.
2nd Chippy 34lb 1oz.
3rd Simon Hez 33lb 10oz.
The winner of our knockout was Chippy who recieved a small bonus of £36 all in coinage as recieved at the start of the season. Well done all.
It's been a strange season this year meaning turnouts to the matches. Wether that's because of the places the matches have taken place or just one of those things, work, hols illness. I have to thank all those who have chipped in to help weighing in over the season. I myself have taken the decision to step down as treasurer, venue picker and secretary plus weigher inner.
There's room for changes in the club but I think new person or persons would benefit the club and have new ideas, like Saturday or Sundays fishing, the sharing of weighing, less matches perhaps. Well, that's it, all in all, I just want to go fishing and enjoy the banter and me do the moaning for a change lol. Thanks for the support over the last 30 plus years and I'll return the same. Cheers guys. Don't forget the Tony White memorial match this coming Saturday. Draw at 9 am. Fish while 3.30, oh and a surprise prize to be announced and donated by Tony White's two sons. Tight lines.
