📢 THE SECRET IS OUT 📢

After many memorable years as Wombwell Town Ladies, we’re excited to announce that we will be starting a new chapter at New Lodge WMC Ladies ⚽💙

This decision has come after a lot of thought about what is best for the future of the team and how we can continue to grow both on and off the pitch. While our time at Wombwell has given us many great memories, we feel now is the right time for a fresh start and a new environment moving forward.

This team has always been built on loyalty, commitment, hard work, and togetherness — and that will never change. The bond within this squad is what makes it special, and we’re excited to carry that spirit into this new chapter together. ❤️

We want to thank everyone who has supported the team over the years — players, coaches, volunteers, supporters, and sponsors. Your support and commitment have meant so much to us all.

We’re incredibly excited for what the future holds at New Lodge WMC Ladies and can’t wait to continue this journey together. 🔥

New chapter. New home. Same passion. ⚽

🏆 Wombwell Town Ladies Presentation Day 2026 🏆

What a season it’s been! Full of hard work, commitment, laughter, goals, and memories that will last a lifetime. Today we celebrated some very deserving award winners:

⚽ Goal of the Season – Beth Goldthorpe for that absolute wand of a left foot against Frickley. We’re still not sure if it was a shot, a cross, or pure magic… but it was definitely a goal! 🚀

💙 Players’ Player – Jo Marfleet for her constant commitment, dedication, and an outstanding season from start to finish. The player your teammates always know they can count on.

👏 Supporters’ Player – Jenna-Lea Portess who has been brilliant week in, week out. A fan favourite for all the right reasons and thoroughly deserving of the award.

⭐ Manager’s Player – Summer Arnold whose improvement season after season continues to impress. Proof that hard work really does pay off!

A huge congratulations to all our winners and thank you to every player, coach, volunteer, supporter, and family member who has been part of our journey this season.

What a season it’s been for Wombwell Town Ladies ❤️⚽️

Finishing 3rd in the league with 47 points (W15 D2 L5) isn’t too bad… we’ll take that all day long 👀

A massive shoutout to Lucy Tindle, who clearly forgot how to stop scoring – 19 goals in just 11 appearances is ridiculous 👏🔥 Save some for next season, yeah? Beth Goldthorpe and Steph Marsland were not far behind, Beth totalling 14 goals & Steph 13

Pulling the strings behind it all, Sharn Glover racked up 15 assists & 10 goals🚀– basically the team’s unofficial delivery service 📦⚽️

Consistency has been key, with Jenna and Bex Hague both picking up 4 Player of the Match awards each – turns out they quite like a bit of attention really ⭐️

A huge thank you to our coach Megan Davies for everything this season – the organisation, the commitment, and somehow putting up with us week in, week out deserves its own award 🙌

And to our supporters… rain, wind, freezing cold mornings – you’ve been there through it all. We see you, we appreciate you, and we promise we heard at least some of the shouting from the sidelines 😂

From start to finish, this team has been nothing short of exceptional. The effort, the togetherness, and the spirit has made this a season to be proud of.

Oh… and we’ve got a little secret to share… but you’ll have to wait for that one 👀🤫

Up the Town ❤️🖤
