The U9 Blacks travelled to the Rotherham Town Gala in glorious sunshine and produced an outstanding team performance. The players showed fantastic teamwork, played some excellent passing football, and it was brilliant to see the things we've been working on in training being put into practice on the pitch.

We had goals coming from all over the pitch, backed up by some solid defending, making us a tough team to play against throughout the day. The team remained undefeated, overcoming some very strong opposition, and deservedly finished as tournament winners.

A fantastic effort from everyone involved—well done, lads! 🏆⚽

What a fantastic way to round off an incredible season as the Poggy Blacks came together to celebrate their achievements at our end-of-season presentation evening.

The lads have given us so many great memories this year. Finishing the league phase unbeaten, lifting the Supplementary Cup, and reaching the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the hard work, commitment and teamwork shown by every player throughout the season.

The evening also marked the end of a chapter for four of our lads. We’d like to say a huge thank you and congratulations to AJ, who moves on to Staincross Rangers after a brilliant season with the Poggy Blacks, and to William, Teddy W and Ezra, who have been part of the team from the very beginning and will now continue their Poggy journey with the Poggy Whites.

All four players have played a huge part in our story, and we are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved in a Poggy shirt. We wish them every success and happiness in the next stage of their football journeys.

All lads are winners in our eyes, but 3 lads were recognised on the night for their achievements this season.

Congratulations to all of the lads. Each of them has worked tremendously hard and fully deserves the recognition.

Most importantly, every single lad had a brilliant night celebrating together, reflecting on an unforgettable season and looking ahead with excitement to the next challenge as we make the step into the Sheffield League.

Another huge game for the Poggy Blacks on Thursday night as we faced Poggy Reds in the second leg of the Challenge Cup semi-final, with everything still to play for after the first leg finished 4-4.

Two strong teams going toe to toe in a hotly contested game full of end-to-end action, quality football, great goals, and plenty of determination from both sides. In the end, Poggy Reds just edged it 4-3 on the night to book their place in the final.

Massive credit to the Poggy Reds, and we wish them the very best in the final against Pinfold Reds. Hopefully they can bring the trophy back home to Poggy. 🏆

While the disappointment is still fresh, we don’t want this result to take anything away from what has been an outstanding season for the Poggy Blacks. These lads have played some incredible football throughout the year, developed massively as a team, scored plenty of goals, and shown unbelievable commitment in every single game.

Win, lose or draw, they always work hard for each other, represent the club brilliantly, and continue to make everyone proud.

Heads up lads — there’s still plenty to be proud of, and this season has shown just how far this team has come. 👏

Next, we focus on the Filey cup tournament at the end of May.
