You might have spotted our Leisure team putting their skills to the test today with some practice pool rescue scenarios.

This provides a great opportunity for some team building and ensuring the team retain vital knowledge to support our fantastic members and visitors.

We’re always inspired by the determination and adventurous spirit of our members, and today we’re celebrating Alan, one of our regulars here at The Mole Resort Leisure and Spa.

Last August, Alan took on the epic cycling challenge: the Badger Divide – a 320km trail ride across the stunning Scottish Highlands, from Inverness Castle to Glasgow. With over 5,000 metres of climbing and some seriously demanding terrain this is no small feat!

Despite being an experienced rider with decades of cycling, racing, and group rides under his belt, this was Alan’s first multi-day event in over 40 years. He knew it would be physically demanding, so he trained smart – combining outdoor miles with core and upper body strength work right here at The Mole Resort.

His preparation paid off. The group worked together, pushed each other through the climbs, and were rewarded with some of the most breath-taking landscapes the Highlands have to offer.

Alan told us this ride reignited his drive to tackle big goals – not only will he be setting himself a challenge each year but for 2025 he will soon be taking part in a 24-hour cycling challenge to raise funds for his local village carnival. He's already back in the gym, powering through our indoor cycle classes and building endurance. We are in awe, Alan. Keep up the great work!
