⛔STOP! READ THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY⛔
Here are some tips on what to think about before you sign up for another wasted membership at the gym. (Of course our first tip would be to message us and find out if Hitsona is a good fit for you!)
1. What are my goals? 🎯
You need to match the facility you join to the goals you have. If you are looking to lose a little weight, improve your overall day to day fitness and have more energy then a bodybuilders gym would not be the best option to help you hit those goals.
2. Will it fit in with my life? ⌚
If you are a busy parent or have a hectic diary then you will need to go somewhere that allows you to have flexibility. That may be a 24 hour gym or a facility with a flexible and extensive timetable. Even if you really love the Legs Bums and Tums class at your local gym but its only on at midday and 5pm every Tuesday, and you have to be Mum’s Taxi every other Tuesday, you wont be able to attend as much as you want.
3. Do I need more than just exercise? 🍎🥕
Always look what else is included in your membership before you join. What will you get for your money? Nutrition and mindset support, online help, recipes, access to staff, education, social events and much more can really help you achieve the goals you have in mind.
4. What support will I get? 🤗
Are you going to be surrounded by like minded people or intimidated by the super fit and body beautiful? The community that a gym builds or doesn’t build could make or break your attempts at reaching your goals. Make sure that wherever you join has a supportive and inspiring community that will encourage you, celebrate with you and give you the opportunity to flourish.
5. Can I stick to this? 💪
The only way you will get results is through consistency. When motivation is high when you first start, you may be able to push through the DOMS, the embarrassment, the queues and the boring hours on the treadmill but when life starts to get in the way over the coming months you will start to find reasons not to exercise. By taking up something that is fun, flexible, varied, quick and as part of a group you will be more likely to stick to your routine.
If you don't know where to start with your health and fitness journey, Hitsona specialises in working with people who haven't exercised in a long time and hate the gym. Send us a message to find out more.
