With some pocket spoons, after many years of sharpening the tip can be exposed, making it quite dangerous to carry.

This one I ground down from the spine before sharpening, now it's back to work with no dangers about it.

I'm travelling to Liverpool to sharpen for a restaurant because they refuse to send their spoons in the mail...

I'm taking my most portable set up and am hoping this is enough...

Apologies for the delay to those waiting... I am backed up with work and am trying to make my way through it... While also trying to film it for the socials...

But my spoons are dishwasher safe... So surely it's safe to wash them that way... Technically yes but over a few years no.

The detergents in dishwasher tablets are very corrosive compared to hand washing detergents. And over time as you can see by the picture here, it starts to eat at the metal, eventually causing it to snap.

Prevent this by just washing them in the sink... That's it. And your spoons will last many years longer.
