We’re also looking to grow our Walney Girls football community and are now looking for girls in Year 3 & 4 who would like to join us, have fun, make new friends and develop their football skills. ⚽️😊

We’re hoping to create a new younger girls’ team, helping us continue to provide more opportunities for girls to enjoy football at Walney for years to come. 💛💙

Our First Team are on the road as they head off to play Calton. 🚌⚽️

The Reserves welcome Barrow Wanderers at home, while our A Team also have a home fixture against Barrow Celtic. 🏠💪🏻

A huge well done to our U8, U10 Yellows & U9 Blues, who progressed through the Autumn 🍁🏆 Cup last week and now face their semi-finals this weekend! 💪🏻🏆

We also have 3 teams starting their BDJFL Cup campaigns this weekend. Good luck to all three! 🏆🟡🔵

⚽️💛💙🖤 WALNEY GIRLS ARE RECRUITING! 🖤💙💛⚽️

Just over a month ago, Walney Island JFC welcomed our first-ever girls team! We started with just 9/10 players for a 9-a-side league, and what has happened since has been incredible! 🙌

Last week, we had an amazing 21 girls at training! 🤩⚽️

With numbers growing so quickly, we’re hoping to welcome a few more players with the aim of setting up a second girls team. 💛💙

If you know a girl in Year 5 or Year 6 who loves football, would like to join a team, make some new friends or simply have some fun, we’d love to hear from you! 🖤
