Heaps of good luck to our sponsored rider Angus Corrie-Deane Dressage as he heads to the British Dressage National Championships at Somerford Park! 🍀
Angus had an incredible three horses qualified for this year's championships, with Maigret VD Watermolen in the Advanced Medium and Karen Manzi's Porsche VS in the six-year-old class both securing wildcards to join his very own golden boy Veyron.
Sadly, Veyron won't be making the trip after a serious bout of colic and surgery at the end of August. We're so pleased to hear that he's on the mend after a very scary time for Angus, although we know this year's Nationals will feel a little bittersweet without him there.
We'll be cheering Angus, Maigret and Porsche on every step of the way and wishing them a successful few days at Somerford.
Good luck! 🙌🐴

🍂 New season, new bedding?
If you’re planning your autumn and winter stable routine, now might be a great time to change up your bedding!
With most horses spending longer in their stables during the cold, dark and wet months, choosing a bedding that’s absorbent, low in dust and easy to muck out can make a real difference to both your horse and you. Our shavings are kiln dried and dust extracted, with a soft flake that creates a clean, comfortable bed.
If you’re thinking of making a change this autumn, just drop us a DM with any questions you have about our shavings! 🐴

🐴 What’s the ONE stable habit you swear by?
You know the ones… those little yard habits you’ve picked up over the years that you now do without even thinking.
🪣 Scrubbing water buckets properly, every time
🧹 Skipping out whenever you walk past
🛏️ Giving the bed a quick tidy before you leave
🌙 Leaving everything ready for morning stables
👀 Doing one last check before heading home
They might only take a couple of minutes, but over days, weeks and years, those little habits can make a big difference to how smoothly the yard runs. And how clean, comfortable and organised your horse’s stable stays.
So, we want to borrow your best one…
If you could teach every horse owner ONE good stable habit, what would it be? 👇
And is there one you were taught years ago that has stuck with you ever since?

🐴 What matters MOST to you when choosing bedding?
💧 Absorbency
🌬️ Low dust
🧹 Easy mucking out
💤 A comfortable, supportive bed
If you had to put one at the top of your list, which would it be?
The reality is, we don't think you should have to choose.
Good bedding has a big job to do. It needs to help create a clean, comfortable stable environment for your horse, while being practical to manage day after day.
That means absorbency matters. Dust matters. Comfort matters. And when you're mucking out every morning, ease of use definitely matters too!
We'd love to know what your number one priority is when choosing bedding. Tell us in the comments 👇
And if there's something else that's a deal-breaker for you - price, sustainability, bale size, availability or anything else - we'd love to hear that too.

🇮🇪 What a World Championship debut for Katie and Lottie! 🌍👏
We’re incredibly proud of our sponsored rider Katie Reilly Dressage Para-Rider and Keystone Dawn Chorus after a fantastic week representing Team Ireland at the FEI World Para Dressage Championships in Aachen.
Katie and Lottie got their championships off to the BEST possible start, producing a brilliant personal best of 73.167% in the Grade III individual test to finish seventh in a hugely competitive field. 🎉
They carried that form into their next test too, trending around the 74% mark and looking on course for another PB. A couple of costly moments unfortunately brought their final score down, leaving them just 0.5% outside qualification for the freestyle.
So close – and understandably disappointing when the freestyle is such a special part of a championship – but just look at what this partnership achieved in Aachen. 💚
🌟 A World Championship debut
🌟 A new personal best
🌟 Seventh place on the world stage
🌟 Two hugely competitive performances
🌟 Representing Team Ireland at the very highest level
We’re so proud to play a small part in the team behind Katie and Lottie and can’t wait to see what comes next for them.
Huge congratulations to Katie, Lottie and everyone who helped make this incredible week possible! 🇮🇪👏

Imagine breathing in dust when you should be resting…🫁
If we aren’t choosy about the bedding we use in our horse’s stable, that’s what could be happening while they’re relaxing, eating and sleeping.
Choosing dust-extracted bedding is one way we can help create a cleaner stable environment, but what does ‘dust extracted’ actually mean? And why does it matter for every horse, rather than only those with known respiratory problems?
Our August blog takes a closer look at dust, bedding and what you should be looking for when choosing what goes into your horse’s stable!

🇬🇧 We’re heading to BETA International! 🇬🇧
On the 27th and 28th of September we’ll be at the NEC in Birmingham with the Wood & Slumber trade stand, and it’s the perfect way to learn more about our premium bedding.
BETA International is a great way to discover the latest brands and innovations that will shape the equestrian sector in the UK and we’re thrilled to be part of it!
We’re looking forward to catching up with lots of our existing retailers, meeting some new faces and, of course, talking all things bedding!
If you’re heading to BETA International too, make sure you come and say hello. 👋
