Welcome to the Barton Junior Football Club page. We cater for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16 at our home on Pasture Road, Barton upon Humber. We are a self-financing and voluntary organisation and have been operating very successfully for over 30 years, playing in the local junior football leagues with a fair amount of trophies won through the years. We were the very first football team in our area to obtain the Football Association Charter Standard which we cherish greatly. Such as, All of our Staff have been CRB Checked and hold approved coaching badges and first aid qualifications etc.

Today, we were delighted to accept an invitation from the Mayor of Barton, Christine Patterson, and her Consort, Bob Patterson, to attend their Civic Service at St Mary’s Church, Barton-upon-Humber.

It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our club to guests as one of the Mayor’s chosen charities for the year, alongside Barton Junior Band. ⚽️ 🎺

If you would like to support the Mayor’s chosen charities by donating to her fund, we would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every contribution makes a difference! 🙏❤️ (Details for donations are shown on the image below.)

It’s that time of year again…. The clocks go back at 02:00 tomorrow ⏰

On the down side it means our teams are going to be training in the dark for the next few months 😔

On the flip side, everyone gets an extra hour in bed tonight 💤

So even if kick off is an early one for teams tomorrow, make the most of the hour 👏

⚽ BARTON JUNIORS UNDER 9s NEED A NEW COACH! ⚽

We’re looking for someone to take the reins of our U9s team so the lads can continue playing the game they love! 💙

Unfortunately, our current coach has to step down due to personal circumstances, and while this is completely understandable, it leaves us needing someone to step in and help keep the team going.

Here’s a little bit about the team:
⚽ A squad of 8, plus an extra player who joins us for training
⚽ A mixed-ability group who are developing really well
⚽ Competitive in their league and keen to keep improving
⚽ A great opportunity to make a real difference to a group of young players

📍 Training: Thursdays, 5.30-6.30pm at Baysgarth School during autumn/winter, moving to Pasture Road in spring/summer.

🏆 Matches: Saturdays.

You don’t need to be the next Pep Guardiola! We’re looking for someone enthusiastic who enjoys football, wants to help young players develop and can give the team the opportunity to carry on playing together.

If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, please get in touch in the comments or drop us a message.

Sharing this post would also be hugely appreciated!

Let’s help the team keep doing what they love! 💙⚽

The Under 15s played their first league game of the season today, at home to Brigg Town.

Spectators were treated to a highly entertaining game with the momentum swinging back and forth.

Barton went ahead with a fantastic team goal superbly finished by Cappy from a wonderful cross by Devon. Brigg then went 2-1 and 3-2 up before Barton finished the game strongly with the game ending 6-3 to Barton.

The goals were scored by Cappy (3), Ethan, Archie B and Harvey Bl.

🏆 Man of the Match went to Harry who was a strong creative force all game and was at the heart of all Barton's attacking play.

🏆 Parents’ Player went to Archie B who gave a typical high energy performance. He was outstanding at fullback and scored a wonderful goal.

Great start to the league campaign for the team.
