Developing Young Leaders at Barton Inclusive FC…

It was great to see James spending his Wednesday evening planning our Wildcats session for Saturday! 👏

This weekend, Coach Sophie will be joining James to deliver a session he has helped plan, and we’re incredibly proud of his enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to developing his coaching skills.

💬 Coach Sophie said:

“It’s been great to support James to plan a session. He is very motivated to host a fun and enjoyable session, and it’s been great exploring ideas with him. I’m excited to coach with him on Saturday, and thanks to James, we know exactly what we’re going to do, so it’s great to feel prepared.”

At Barton Inclusive FC, we believe being an inclusive club is about so much more than playing football. It’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, developing skills and empowering people to become the best they can be.

We are passionate about giving young people the opportunity to step forward, take responsibility, share their ideas and develop as future leaders within our club and community.

James is a brilliant example of what can happen when young people are given the opportunity, encouragement and support to thrive.

👏 Thank you James for giving up your time and helping us make Wildcats a fantastic experience for our girls. We can’t wait to see you in action on Saturday! ❤️⚽️

💎⚽ INTER DIAMONDS FRIENDLY MATCH REPORT ⚽💎

Yesterday, Inter Diamonds took on Rubix in a fantastic friendly, with both sides agreeing to play 6-a-side with 2 substitutes.

The game certainly didn’t start the way we wanted, as we found ourselves 2-0 down early on. But what followed showed exactly what this team is made of. 💪

The Diamonds showed fantastic character, gradually finding our rhythm and playing some lovely passing football. We created chance after chance and really started to put Rubix under pressure.

Spencer got us back into the game with an excellent goal, giving everyone a huge lift.

Then came a brilliant spell from Charley, who scored two quick-fire goals to turn the game around and put us 3-2 ahead! 🔥

Rubix responded brilliantly and stepped up the pressure late on, scoring two goals to eventually take the game 4-3.

“But despite the result, I genuinely couldn’t be any prouder of this team.” Said coach Andrew.

Andrew followed “There were some excellent performances throughout, with Elsie and Warren both putting in fantastic shifts. Charley was absolutely outstanding, not only with his two goals but with his defending and overall performance. A thoroughly deserved POTD!🏆👏

“Most importantly, it was a brilliant game played in the right spirit.”

A huge thank you to Rubix for the fantastic feedback after the game. They described us as a well-drilled and well-organised team, and said the match was played in a very sporting and respectful manner. They also expressed an interest in building a relationship with us and playing regularly in the future, which is exactly what these games are all about. 🤝

Final score: Inter Diamonds 3–4 Rubix

The result might not have gone our way, but the performance, character, teamwork and attitude certainly did. 💎

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. 👏

Thank you to Rachel for the brilliant pics. 📸

A great day for all involved. ❤️⚽️

Our young volunteer Henry volunteers on a Saturday for our BIFC Teeny Tots helping our littlest players start their football journey.

A kind, caring and dedicated young lad who has so much patience for our Tots. 👶

Check out this video showcasing our Saturday morning session where the players take part in one of Henry’s activities.

A wonderful model. Congratulations Henry, we are so proud of you. 🏆❤️⚽️

A fantastic day yesterday for Inter as they headed to Doncaster to play a friendly vs Wheatley Wanderers. 👊🏻

A fantastic event with both teams playing in the right spirit. Wheatley edged Inter on the day in three very competitive games of 20 minutes. A great battle between two clubs.

Congratulations to Spencer who made his debut for our club and to James, who made his adult debut, after progressing through our youth section at BIFC - Hull. 👏🏻

Coach Andrew was very impressed with both players and their performances. 💪🏻

Well done to Player of the Day Mark for a sterling commanding performance. 🏆

Massive thanks to Andrew for organising a fantastic opportunity for our players and to Sheridan for the excellent photos. 📸

It’s so lovely also to hear great feedback from parents on how the game was played in such great spirit with both teams ultimately having a super time. ❤️⚽️

INTER DIAMONDS PRESENTATION NIGHT ✨🏆

WOW! What an incredible evening celebrating an amazing season for Inter & Pumas.

A huge thank you to our fantastic organising committee of volunteers, including coach Rob, for putting together such a brilliant presentation night. Nights like this don’t happen without the dedication of our volunteers, and we’re incredibly grateful. 👏

⭐ Players’ Player – Mark ⭐

Mark also picked up a very special award, and what a season he has had! Mark is someone we can always rely on. He gives his all, supports those around him and is a true role model to all our players.

The fact that his fellow players voted for him as their Players’ Player says everything. A thoroughly deserved recognition. 🏆

🌟 Most Improved Player – Charley 🌟

Charley has shown incredible commitment and determination throughout the season. He always gives 100%, and that hard work has really paid off. He has developed into a top-class player and should be incredibly proud of how far he has come. 💪

A massive thank you to Manager James for another amazing season, alongside coaches Rob and Andrew. Your commitment, encouragement and support make such a difference to our players.

A huge thank you to Rachel, who works tirelessly behind the scenes looking after players’ subs, match-day photos and commentary. 📸

And of course, well done to every single player. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. It’s been fantastic watching you grow, develop, support each other and enjoy your football.

Finally, a big thank you to JoJo for the delicious cupcakes! 🧁😋

Here’s to an incredible season and to many more memories together!
