Mamma duck made a nest in one of the outbuildings. The ducklings hatched today and went straight to the lake ❤️❤️

A visit by an alder leaf beetle once thought to be extinct in the Uk until its reappeared on 2004, a holly blue butterfly and the sheep shearer. Busy day at Marshlands..

Busy morning with the goslings, both Canada and Greylags. The reed beds are bursting with bird song, particularly the reed warbler and Cetti’s warbler.

The common terns return to Marshlands. Great to see them fishing, hovering accompanied by the sound of booming bitterns, cuckoos and Cetti’s warbler.
