Congratulations to Jake Challice who wins the Great Pen Wood Hare and Hounds - the final round of the SEEC Hare and Hounds Championship.

Jake came in just seconds ahead of Elliot Beken, himself three minutes clear of third placed Broc Barnett.

Well done to all the finishers, we hope you enjoyed the day.

A huge thank you as ever to our small but dedicated team of volunteers - Tristan Robinson, Robert Carey, Ian George, Mark Bennett, Clint Jones, Simon Purcell, Steve, Andy Brown, Matthew Cantillon, Neil Foster, Aaron Dibnah, Arnaud Didey, Richard Bulmer, Sue Bulmer, and Freya.

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Great Pen Wood Hare and Hounds tomorrow.

If you haven’t got an entry yet, turn up and we will get you riding 👌

📍 Please arrive from 8am. RG20 9EW

🖊️ Signing on and technical control will open at 0830.

🚐 Park where directed by officials. Please van share where possible as parking is tight at this venue.

⛑️ You must bring an environmental mat for refuelling.
FIM/ ACU Enduro rear tyres only. Your helmet must have an ACU sticker.

⏰ The event start is 1100, with riders setting off at intervals as per Forestry regulations. A riders briefing and engine warmup will take place at 1045.

Ride this Sunday! Great Pen Wood Hare and Hounds - A round of the SEEC Hare and Hounds Championship.

📍Great Pen Wood, Nr. Highclere, RG20 9EW

This is the last time riders will have the chance to compete at this beautiful forest venue near Highclere. A huge amount of work has already gone into securing the venue for this year, but unfortunately, due to new plans for the land, we have been informed that this will be the last time we will be permitted to use the venue, so make sure you don’t miss out.

For the final edition, the Wayback MCC team will be pulling out all the stops, making the best of the trails created by SETRA over the past few years, and adding new flowing sections to ensure everyone can enjoy the day.

The format of the event is a ‘Hare and Hounds’ with riders competing for three hours to complete multiple laps of the six mile course which is suitable for beginners, weekend warriors and seasoned competitors alike.

NEW EVENT DATE

Due to the current high risk of wildfires, the Wayback MCC Great Pen Wood Hare and Hounds (SEEC H&H) will be postponed to Sunday the 27th of September.

The decision was not taken lightly, and has been made in consultation with Forestry England who have seen forest fires take place on their estates in recent weeks, including in the New Forest.

All riders have had their entries carried over to the new date and entries will remain open.
