After a long two month break for essential maintenance Ripples is back up and running at QMC Basingstoke 🎉🥳

As a lot of Ripples swimmers are entering higher levels, we're going to be starting tumble turns. Here's a slowed down one for them to take a look at to get the idea!
When I "took the plunge" and started my own swim school in 2021 it was a huge moment. My first swimmer was Zach. He was nervous, he was teeny, he stuck to me like glue. Now he's taking on the distance swims like a pro.
Here he is finishing his 1000m swim. Before starting, I let other swimmers know what he was attempting and so people gave him room to plow up and down - he never faltered, he barely showed fatigue and when he finished in 40 minutes the onlookers cheered for him.
We've come full circle from my first swimmer starting to my first swimmer graduating with his Stage 7 and 1000m certificate.

This is Scarlett and I want to give her huge props for how far she's come. She started with me a couple of years back, absolutely terrified of water. She's been so brave and so determined to move past this fear. From slow calm walks around the shallow end, talking it out, months passed and one day she decided it was time - she submerged and that was it - she's basically a mermaid and now starting stroke work. Well done honey! 👏🧡💪
Daniel has been working so hard on his coordination - he's getting the knack of his front crawl and got his 100m badge a couple of weeks ago. He shows such determination - my not so little trooper. He's even started to teach his baby brother at bathtime - possible future employee there! 👏😁✨️

The wins are coming thick and fast as we roll into 2024. Today, Amber swam her 400m breaststroke in 22 minutes! Smiled all the way to the end of her 18th length and even had the energy to do a quick celebratory duck dive at the end 😆 absolutely smashed it kiddo 🙌
Second win of the day - Zoes first swim completely unaided. It's honestly the greatest feeling watching them do this for the first time. I get giddy no matter how many times I see it. She's so proud of herself, look at her little face at the end! 😍
