MINDFUL MONDAY
Winter can be depressing. Short days, high heating bills, the social lull when all your mates want to hibernate... it’s no surprise we feel a bit bleh. Around 2 million people in the UK suffer from seasonal depression. But here’s proper good advice on getting through it. Swipe for 4 game-changing tips. 🧵
SLIDE 2: GET OUTSIDE
Natural light raises serotonin levels (your body’s feel-good hormone). Just 15 minutes outside or by a sunny window can shift your mood. Quiet your inner vampire and take a walk - even around the local park counts.
SLIDE 3: STAY CONNECTED
Cold weather literally makes us feel more lonely. Stick with people you care about to pull yourself out of the slump. Can’t do IRL meets? Check in with a call or watch a match together.
SLIDE 4: KEEP MOVING
We’re like big walking solar panels. Without enough vitamin D, we slow right down. Those post-exercise endorphins do wonders for your head. Movement doesn’t mean a sweaty gym sesh - it could be a kitchen dance or a kick about with your mates.
SLIDE 5: DO STUFF THAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD
Winter has crappy things, but good stuff too. Indulge in the small things: cheese toastie, your favourite TV series, neglected hobbies, old video games. If you’re struggling to find good stuff now, plan good stuff for when the sun shows up again.

A recent study found we might actually need more sleep in winter. Let yourself off the hook this winter. Whatever you’re feeling, be kind to yourself. And if you need support, there’s always a way up. 💪

Like many people, I don’t find this time of year easy.
The days are darker. The weather colder. And things feel a little bit harder.
But there is joy to be found. You just have to look more closely. Change your perspective.
Two simple things that help me are practicing gratitude and reflecting on how far I’ve come.
Gratitude keeps me present. And reflecting on my progress reminds me to keep moving forward.
Not to rush or race, but to go at my own pace.
So, look up once in a while, and you’ll see there are still blue skies above the grey ones.
And you’ve come a lot further than you thought.
Just keep moving forward.

2-3 months out. Business paused. Had to walk away from everything I’d built. Weight gained. Mental health took hits I wasn’t ready for.
Today? Back and biceps at . First session back.
And I’m buzzing.
You thought I’d crumble? Watch this comeback.
Rocky said it best: “It’s not about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can GET hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done.”
We ALL face setbacks. Every single one of us gets knocked down. The difference isn’t in avoiding the fall - it’s in getting back up.
I’m not where I was. But I’m also not staying where I am.
The comeback is always stronger than the setback.
Let’s go. 💪

🏆 I’m incredibly proud (and a little lost for words) to share that I’ve been named “Veteran Fitness Coach of the Year 2025/26” for Hampshire by the South England Prestige Awards!
This award means the world to me. Every early morning, every tough session, every conversation — all the effort, passion, and real talk with my clients past and present — it’s led to this moment.
What truly sets this apart for me is that the judges recognised my personal touch, consistency, and community feel. That’s always been my goal — to make every client feel seen, supported, and stronger, inside and out.
Thank you to my incredible clients, friends, and everyone who’s been part of this journey so far. You inspire me to keep pushing, keep learning, and keep serving.

🌟 From Car Park Tears to Unstoppable Confidence 🌟
