Why I take a break in August
As a yoga teacher, I believe it is important to practice what I encourage in others. August gives me the space to step away from teaching to rest, reflect, and prepare for the remainder of the year.
Rest is an important part of the practice. Just as nature moves through seasons of growth, abundance, letting go, and stillness, we too need these rhythms.
I look forward to welcoming you back in September for a fresh beginning. You can expect a few changes increased focus on mindfulness offering you more space to breathe, move, and reconnect with yourself.
September classes are now open for booking.

I continue with my own personal practice for my future self š«¶š¼ I recently heard someone mention being kind to my future self. We donāt need to be perfect we simply need to keep showing up. Research has consistently shown a regular practice improves strength, balance as well as reducing stress. Something I also read recently which has helped me during my menopause journey yoga supports quality of life. Classes begin back in September set your intention to future proof yourself. ā¤ļø

Once I started to understand myself and my true nature everything started to fall into place. I developed a more compassionate relationship with my body learning to make better sustainable choices. We do not have to feel, work, eat or rest in exactly the same way as everyone else.

Working with the guiding principle of āaparigrahaā means to simply notice where you are clinging or what you are clinging on to. The practice of aparigraha is not about detaching ourselves, it is about the space it creates within it. Space to breathe, space to trust and space to fully return to ourselves. What is it that you are ready to let go of ? What have you been carrying for so long that is weighing you down?

The more we practice yoga the more we begin to understand ourselves. Each time we step onto our yoga mats we awaken a deeper connection within ourselves. Itās a sacred space where we can release the weight of the world, breathe deeply, and embrace the present moment.
