Liv here with a little announcement, our baby girl, Mabel, arrived into the world on Sunday 24th August 💕

Both Mabel and I are doing so well and big brother Huxley is proud to show off his baby sister. And so the juggle as a family of four (plus Lola) begins! 🤗

Little Peggy arrived a couple of weeks ago and we’ve been soaking up all the newborn cuddles and embracing the wonderful chaos that comes with a family of 4. Sending lots of love to Liv and we can’t wait for another BMF baby to arrive and join the fun v soon. Gabs x

And here we are...nearly full term and still lifting weights! Grateful to my body for getting me here, it blows my mind to think about how hard it's working just to cover the basics, nevermind to bench press or barbell back squat with weights!

In all of the heat and high energy of this summer, the strength sessions and occasional sweat workouts, I am now feeling the gravitational pull to rest more as my body prepares for labour - so next week will be my last strength workout before I indulge in more yoga and breathwork focus.

Reframing this decision not as a weakness but actually the start of the most incredible process of giving life. Honestly, the power and strength that I found in my body during labour far outweighs anything I'll ever conquer in the gym and I'm quietly/bizarrely excited for the opportunity to witness that again.

For any expectant mamas seeing this, please note, I have not been in the gym smashing the workouts every week. I've listened to my body and scaled back accordingly, and I urge you to do the same thing, to resist the pressure to do what your beautiful pre-pregnancy body did and to lean in to the mental health benefits of working out while your body adapts and grows.

As things draw to a temporary close here at BMF, here’s a little roundup and some mat leave info for you all...

✨What a blast we had in our last Mama Strong class guys! ✨

These last 6 months have been so much fun and I’ve absolutely loved meeting a great bunch of new mums, running the 6 week programme and seeing the progressions made each week in our Mama Strong classes. You guys have been epic and should be so proud of all your achievements.

I can’t quite believe how quickly pregnancy has gone this time round (well I can actually... my toddler!), but I think Liv and I are both ready to put our feet up and start preparing for the arrival of baby number 2s now.

With that in mind, I wanted to let you all know about our mat leave plans:

🤰🏼We will be offline from 1st July
🤱Returning in spring time next year

If you have any questions or want to get in touch, please do so within the next week. Otherwise, I will see you all in 2026 (with an update on 👶🏼 in the meantime of course)!

Our next programme is running from Friday 4th April - Friday 16th May (with a 1 week break on Friday 18th for Easter).

MEET THE TRAINER 👇

I'm Olivia, I'm a Women's Coach specialising in pre/postnatal training, it wasn't until I became pregnant in 2021 when I realised that there was a real gap for gym-based pre/postnatal classes, so I setup Bath Mama Fitness to empower and encourage more women to get back into the gym again after having a baby.

I'm here to remind the women I work with that: you can do hard things. With self awareness, mindfulness and extra focus on technique and form we can help to reconnect you with your body to rebuild and progress your fitness. I see all the training I do in the gym as an essential part to the way I show up as a mama, outside of the gym.

It's so exciting to welcome Gaby into the BMF community as a partner as it will only enable us to grow and diversify our offer to all the wonderful mamas (and mamas-to-be) of Bath 😘
