Ab exercise number 1! This one is actually two exercises in one because you have to do them in both directions. So if you are putting together a 6 minute routine this is minutes 1 & 2.

A posterior tilt is achieved by tucking your bum in and tilting your hips upwards. This pushes your lower back towards the floor and ensures your core is engaged. πŸ’ͺπŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ

Another stretching exercise for the hips. And there is a good reason why I focus on the hips so much. Poor hip flexibility and weakness in this area causes problems right up and down the posterior chain ... @50

This is the third in our series of stretches and this one focuses on the hip flexors - a group of muscles around the top of the thigh. Right hip flexors can cause pain in your back, glutes and even in your neck.

Latest in my series focused on stretching. This one is great for the thoracic region (upper back and abdomen) and the hips. Flexibility in these areas is critical to the foundation of an effective golf swing πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ

You want to try and hold this for at least a minute on each side. And watch out for dangerously unstable branding πŸ˜‚

πŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈStretching is one of those things we all know we should do but if time is tight then it’s the first thing to go. But if you do spend the time then it’s the thing, especially for those north of 40 (like myself!) that can deliver the biggest benefits to your game.
