We have had to close a little earlier today so our apologies if you were thinking of coming to play later this evening.
We will be open longer hours in May with lighter nights and sunnier weather.
Same time tomorrow

So disappointing to see all the hard work from our Site Manager, Guy be treated in this fashion.
We totally understand the site has a stunning view and is a nice place to have some drinks with friends. Is it too much to ask that you take your rubbish with you?

We have managed to get the golf course in playable condition after the horrendous winter. It is always a work in progress and we will continue working to get it as good as possible.
We have clubs to hire and all necessary equipment to buy in the kiosk.
Booking online is advisable as we can get busy on occasion.
Please share and look forward to seeing you here.

We have managed to cut both courses and will be fine cutting on Wednesday to make surfaces a bit shorter.
Our apologies to players finding it a bit long but we need to reduce cutting in stages to avoid damaging surfaces.
It'll be a lot smoother soon!

At last some good news to share.
Guy has managed to get the course in a playable condition following the horrendous winter.
Both Golf and FootGolf are back in play and the booking system is open.
Just in time for Storm Dave to hopefully give Bath a miss and rain on the Midlands

After an exceptionally wet winter we have at last managed to get some cutting machinery on to the course and will be open for play from Good Friday April 3rd.
The booking system will be open soon and customers can book online or pay at the kiosk whichever suits them
We are hoping to have some events this year and keep an eye out for our event collaboration with Golf Box Bath and Bristol. There are some large group bookings already for the coming season and discounts apply online for larger groups.
Look forward to seeing you at the site this year and some warmer and drier weather would be nice.

Course Update
As you can see from the photo we are still having issues with surface water at the site. We are monitoring weather and ground conditions on a daily basis and hope to be able to complete some maintenance work in the next week.
We think it's been a record rainfall winter and incredibly frustrating for us as a small business.
Here's hoping for a good spring and summer.

We have had a few comments about the course closure and here is the outcome of our course inspection today.
Golf courses across the country are closed and many of these have purpose made drainage facilities. The Royal Victoria site has 4 natural springs running through it and no drainage whatsoever.
The only suitable machinery to combat these conditions would be hovercraft and we don't have one of them I'm afraid.
We are doing what we can in the wettest period in recent history.
We as a small company are losing money on a daily basis so please bear with us and we will be open as soon as possible.

Just how bad has this winter been for golf courses 12/02/2026

The article below explains the whole situation across the country.
We are simply unable to access the greens with any machinery to cut grass.
We will attempt to open the Footgolf over the half term if the weather gives us a break.
Ring the kiosk or message us via the page.
Fingers crossed!

Just how bad has this winter been for golf courses Some golf courses across the UK have been closed for weeks due to heavy and persistent rainfall, but just how bad has it been? When you see these comments and experiences shared by other golfers, it's surely one of the worst winters that courses have suffered in recent memory.
