Brilliant session last night. 16 (a record attendance) water temperature good. One new swimmer who was able to have a ‘first time’ experience on this first session. She was buzzing as was I. So exciting to be a part of my swimmer’s journeys. I’m so lucky.

Despite the numbers it worked so well for everyone. Hoping for similar every week in 2025.

Well done and thank you to my swimmers. I am so thankful to have you swim with me and allow me to help you improve beyond your expectations.

We had a brilliant evening tonight at Woods. Our wonderful swimmers made it such a lovely occasion. We are so lucky to have each and every one.

Good news from one of my ex swimmers , Miles, who has just informed me that he took part in an Ironman in Italy this weekend completing the swim in an hour and ten minutes which is incredible.

He joins Sam and Pierce who both completed the Bolton Ironman over the last 15 months also with amazing swim times.

So proud of their achievements.

Tash was absolutely amazing at motivating. She was able to draw out the very best from anyone. Now she is still doing the same. What a legacy.

This video shows the ‘power diamond’ arm position and how the pull is led by the hand, with elbow following. All my swimmers can benefit from watching this.

Yesterday saw one of our triathletes compete in an Outlaw Triathlon at Bowood Park, Calne. He absolutely smashed it. So huge congratulations to Pierce for knocking his previous times out of the park! Amazing performance. His swim time set him off to a brilliant start with a brilliant PB. His bike ride was 25 minutes faster than his previous PB. The run was a brutal finish but he ran to the end and kept a smile on his face. Really impressive. He’s now having a short rest before getting back to building himself to his next challenge. Well done Pierce, you should be very proud of yourself.

Another great video. Demonstrating really clearly the sometimes small changes you need to make to improve your front crawl stroke, especially the advice re the wrist drop. Such a common thing for many swimmers. Don’t hurry, take your time and think through each section of the stroke. Practice will get you there.

Another great video breaking down the technique with clear explanations. Great for my triathletes.

Please watch this video, regardless of your current ability (beginner/advanced) as it demonstrates so well all the teaching/coaching points I give to you. Note that the hand leads and not the elbow when you reach that 90deg arm bend or diamond and it exits by your thigh, not your hip. Plus look at the way the shoulder is clearly shown stretching forward into the stroke with no bent wrist. Really good points for you all.
