So, we’ve been quiet it’s been an emotional few week with Luke’s injury, getting back racing, engines blowing up, it’s been a lot for the team. Quick rider update…

Luke Dean - Now back riding, won the Modern 2stroke class at Brookethorpe, then went onto ride a 250 red rocket and win KOTC at Farleigh in the 250cc.

Rory Merchant - Was leading the UK Evo Open class championship and then his bike went bang 💥 so is now knocked down to 3rd, but still in it Hazely Grange this weekend.

Terry House - Another stroke of bad luck aboard the Maico, a piece of kickstart gear snapped off and locked the gearbox up at Brookethorpe race 1! So is taking a couple of weeks off to prepare for the big meetings ahead!

Rob Holyoake - We’ve also been helping out Rob and he warmed up his CR500 for something later in the year for us at Brookethorpe too.

So we’ve been quiet this season, had a mixed start with Luke not comfortable on the bike, we got the suspension locked in and an unfortunate injury ruled Luke out right before Round 3 of the AMCA champs and now the season. Luke is gutted as was sitting 3rd going into his ‘home’ race at Brookethorpe. We’re all behind him and hope to see him back behind the gate ASAP. Heal up Luke Dean we’re all behind you.👊🏼👊🏼

Terry House - Racing the HM Racing Maico, against Modern over 50’s with a string of 2nd places behind Craig Pratley on the modern YZ250.

He’s back for 2026 👀👀👀

The undisputed original of the vets motocross calendar, the Farleigh Castle Vets MX, returns for another year, taking place over the weekend of September 12th & 13th, 2026 at one of the most breathtaking and naturally stunning venues in British motocross, the Farleigh Castle Grand Prix circuit in Somerset.

The class that stands out from the crowd is the All 125 class, the names that are lining up to get these machines on the pipe are super impressive and are sure to provide some fireworks when the gate drops.

One name sure to be generating plenty of excitement heading into the 2026 event is Luke Dean, who delivered a stunning performance at Farleigh Castle in 2025, taking a remarkable set of results in the highly competitive 125 class. Dean was in imperious form throughout the weekend, posting a 2-1-1-2 scorecard across his motos — a display of consistency and outright speed that firmly announced him as one of the class’s standout performers. With the bit firmly between his teeth, all eyes will be on Dean when the gate drops at Farleigh Castle this September to see if he can go one better and take a clean sweep.

If you were a betting man, then Dean would be where the smart money would be; however, this is why we go racing, and he is sure to be pushed by former enduro ace Daryl Bolter, alongside Matt Coles, who will be a front-runner for sure. Dark horse in this class is American Robbie Horton, who has many results through the US amateur scene, both SX and Outdoor. It’s going to be a barn-stormer for sure.

Plan for season is to complete in few of the British championships and then the Amca championship along with jumping back on evos for fun at ukevo
