We’re delighted to welcome three British Rowing athletes to the University of Bath this week as they prepare to represent Great Britain at the FISU World University Championships in Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦
Molly Curry, Ellie Dash and recent University of Bath graduate Rebekah Court are staying on campus and training at the Sports Training Village ahead of the competition, which takes place from 13–15 August.
Their time in Bath is supported through Team Bath’s long-standing partnership with the GB Rowing pathway programme, providing athletes with access to high-performance facilities and accommodation as they put the finishing touches to their preparations. 💪
The partnership forms part of our close relationship with British Rowing’s South West Performance Development Academy, helping support the next generation of athletes on their journey to the international stage.
Good luck to Molly, Ellie and Rebekah! 🇬🇧

Full circle! ⚽️💙💛
It was fantastic to see our Head of Football, Che Wilson, speaking to the Norwich City Under-18s about sporting scholarships and what life is like as a student-athlete at the University of Bath.
Che came through the very same Norwich City U18 programme between 1995 and 1997 before going on to enjoy a professional career, making more than 250 Football League appearances for Norwich City, Bristol Rovers and Southend United. He also featured in two Football League Trophy finals during his playing career.
Since 2015, Che has led the University of Bath football programme, helping the next generation of talented players combine elite football with higher education.

The new football season is rapidly approaching and we were delighted to welcome 5️⃣ EFL Academy teams to the University of Bath for week-long training camps over the summer ⚽
Players, coaches and support staff from Blackpool FC, Grimsby Town Football Club, Milton Keynes Dons, Norwich City FC and Portsmouth Football Club stepped up their pre-season preparations in the Elite Training Centre multi-sport environment of the Team Bath Sports Training Village.
They also stayed in campus accommodation and had tours of the University, providing the young footballers with an insight into a potential post-Academy career as a student-athlete.
The training camps - now in their second year - are part of a programme put together in association with the EFL by Jess Clements, Sports Development Manager at the University.
She explained: “When players get to the end of their two years in Academy football, many of them are released and that is potentially the end of their football career. What we’re trying to do through this programme is show how they can continue their careers in football and education at a high level.
“The teams had access to all our facilities and stayed in student accommodation, so it has really given them an immersive experience of what it’s like to be a student-athlete here at Bath. We hope it has planted the seed that, if they do get released, there is a future in both education and the football they’ve spent so much time training for.”
