This 1/2 day course is for those involved or working, (even as a temporary measure), Water sites such as service reservoirs, pumping stations, treatment works and working on and around the network of water mains and service pipes. E
xternal trades such as carpenters, electricians, pump technicians, scaffold erectors, plant maintenance crews and support drivers are an example of some of those who require to attend a clean water site to carry out support contracts, whilst not necessarily working directly on the water assets, they could potentially cause contamination to the network and illness in the community, if they are unaware of their obligations on site
The course is for employees of water Company’s and all contractors that work on the restricted operations sites including self-lay organisations working on new developments. Aims
Throughout the training the emphasis will be put on the individual that it is their 'duty' to protect public health obligations. A health screening element is carried out to ensure that operatives holding the National Water Hygiene card are not carriers of any waterborne diseases on date of training. Learning Objectives
By the end of this training event delegates will be able to describe their obligations and be aware of their responsibilities towards the protection of the potable water supply. Course Method
Classroom theoretical session (powerpoint) followed by a multiple choice questionnaire. Benefits
The candidate will be accredited with water hygiene card that allows work on restricted operations. Training dates and times can be flexible, we now offer training events on Saturday mornings
