LCC Petanque entered 5 teams in the Tiger Trophies Cancer Research Charity Tournament yesterday. A great day was had by all raising money for a deserving cause. Very close to our hearts this one as we have all lost someone close to us to this dreadful condition, including Andy Briggs this year. LCC Great Boules of Fire won the Gold Competition Plate, so special congratulations to Izzy and Chris. Well done to all who took part and thank you to the organisers Gary and Tracey and all their helpers. Look forward to the 2026 tournament.

We held a melee in support of the Lansdown Cricket Club 200 4 200 Appeal. A great day's play with some excellent play. The results were - 3rd place James Parsons; 2nd Place Cary Bush; and our Winner Thierry Sarkissian. In all the day raised £1100 for the 200 4 200 charities

Last night saw the end of season social event of the LCC Summer Boules League. It started with a Speedy Boules competition (15 mins per game), with 24 teams and some quality play. Katie & Liz were victorious against Tom and Vicky in a great close final. The League winners were also presented with their trophy, well done The Combe Grovers. Andrew, the LCC chef did us proud with a delicious curry and thanks to Stewart for keeping us all hydrated! Roll on the 2026 season!

Another success for LCC Petanque Club we are the Division 3 champions in the Bath League. That's two promotions as champions in three years. The team has played really well all year and we are looking forward to playing in Div 2 in 2026. We are also growing as a club so will be entering a new team in Division 4 in 2026. If you are interested in playing petanque whether socially or competitively please get in touch. 🏆🥇

Success for the LCC Petanque Club at the City of Bath Monthly Melee yesterday when Anita achieved third place, out of 48 entrants

We entered two teams into the Bath Open yesterday and one of them reached the semi final of the Gold competition and the other was a finalist in the Pewter competition. I am so proud of both teams in their performance and also the manner in which they played against some top players. A great event organised and hosted by the City of Bath Petanque Club. We'll be back in 2026

The LCC Summer League has just kicked off, 12 teams will play throughout the summer. Typically, accompanied by the first rain for weeks! Let battle commence!

We celebrated the opening of our new piste by holding a small melee. Thanks to all who contributed and made it a fantastic day. Well done Ady, you only went and blooming won it! 😂 After playing we had a great roast in the clubhouse 🐷
