⚽ Howden Clough U12 Jaguars 7–1 Queensbury Celtic U12 Colts ⚽
What a performance from the Jaguars today! A brilliant 7–1 victory, but even more impressive than the scoreline was the way the whole team worked together from start to finish.
The Jaguars began strongly, spending much of the opening period in the Queensbury half. Jack, Thomas, George and Tommy were excellent defensively, battling for the ball, covering one another and giving Queensbury very little room to play.
When Queensbury did manage to break through, Elliott was alert in goal, showing great judgement to come off his line and challenge for the ball when needed.
Going forward, the Jaguars were moving the ball really well. Olly, working down the left wing and in left midfield, was constantly involved, linking up particularly well with Charlie and Jacob.
One excellent move saw Charlie find Olly before the Jaguars won a free kick on the edge of the area. Soon afterwards, another lovely pass from Charlie found Thomas, whose powerful strike brought a good save from the Queensbury keeper.
The pressure eventually paid off. A superb corner from Charlie was finished by William to give the Jaguars a deserved 1–0 lead. ⚽
The Jaguars continued to dominate. Thomas was excellent battling for possession and turning defence into attack, while Tommy drove forward brilliantly from midfield, forcing another good save with a powerful strike.
William was everywhere in midfield, winning the ball and helping hold everything together. Harry was making strong runs and delivered an excellent cross, while Oscar and Billy both made an immediate impact after coming into the game.
Then came the second.
Tommy spotted his opportunity from outside the area and went for it, producing a fantastic finish to make it 2–0. 🚀⚽
The third wasn’t far behind. Jacob, who had been battling brilliantly and causing problems going forward, struck a superb left-footed effort which beat the keeper and went in off the inside of the post.
3–0 Jaguars! ⚽
Jacob nearly did it again moments later, rattling the woodwork with another fantastic left-footed strike.

The second half began with another great Jaguars moment.
Billy, making his first league appearance for the Jaguars, found himself in exactly the right place at the right time and finished brilliantly for 4–0. ⚽👏
A goal on your league debut isn’t a bad way to introduce yourself!
Queensbury pulled one back to make it 4–1, but the Jaguars responded exactly as a team should.
George continued battling for everything in defence, while Jack, Thomas and Tommy worked tirelessly around him. Elliott remained composed and alert behind them whenever Queensbury threatened.
At the other end, Charlie and Olly continued to provide width and creativity, Harry kept working hard and making runs, and Oscar was becoming increasingly influential.
A great run from Jack helped launch another attack before Oscar played the ball into the box for William. The keeper initially got to it but couldn’t keep hold of the ball, and William reacted to make it 5–1.
The Jaguars weren’t finished.
William produced another excellent effort which the keeper saved, but Oscar followed it in brilliantly and finished the rebound.
6–1! ⚽
And there was still time for one more.
William completed his hat-trick with his third goal of the game, putting the finishing touch on a superb Jaguars performance.

A fantastic day for Billy, making his first league appearance for the Jaguars and marking the occasion with a goal. He settled into the team brilliantly and certainly made his first league game one to remember! ⚽👏
And also Thomas, who was also making his first league appearance for the Jaguars. He gave 100% from start to finish and was superb in defence, looking calm and poised on the ball and making some excellent decisions under pressure, a powerful effort on goal and some brilliant corners. A superb first league performance in a Jaguars shirt! 👏⚽

There simply wasn’t one individual to pick today.
Every player contributed. Everyone battled for each other, covered their teammates and played their part.
Today wasn’t about one standout player.
It was about the Jaguars playing together as a team.
