🎉 Congratulations to our fabulous ACE Award winners, Nela and Joy! 🎉
Votes came from residents, staff and visitors, recognising the amazing work both of these wonderful ladies do every day. We are so lucky to have them as part of our Saxonwood family.
Nela, our Domestic Assistant, received a brilliant nomination which said: “Even the spiders have to wipe their feet!”
Joy, our General Assistant, was also praised with the lovely words: “Always cheerful and helpful!”

What a wonderful time we had when the Battle Ukulele Group came to visit us this week! Everyone enjoyed a lovely sing-along, clapping and tapping along to the music, with plenty of smiles and laughter throughout. It was such a joyful atmosphere, and the music brought everyone together beautifully. A huge thank you to the Battle Ukulele Group for sharing their time, talent and energy with us — we all had a fantastic time and look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

Today we celebrated the culture of Chile with a quiz and learning some history about the country with the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful cuisine as prepared by our talented catering team. Residents enjoyed a delicious Chili con carne and a Pinto bean stew and are looking forward to this evenings supper a Chicken chorizo empanada and coconut macaroons. 😋👏

Join us at Saxonwood Care Home on Tuesday 22 September for national Arts in Care Homes celebrations and be part of a special morning of creativity, conversation and community. 🌿🎨

This year’s theme, 'stories that connect us', will bring our community together to create nature-inspired artwork - 'our woodland walk'. The workshop is being led by local artists, The Painted Ladies.

Everyone is welcome to come along for this free event, meet our friendly community and enjoy refreshments.
