The club has been approached by Hastings Independent Press (HIP), their newspaper is delivered to various distribution points in the district. They have been using Hastings Cargo for the distribution as they provide eco-friendly delivery using electric cargo bikes, however HP have recently stopped operating as a business. From that, a job opportunity has arisen; the follwing text from HIP explains it better...

> Hasting Cargo have been delivering HIP. However they have decided to call the business a day. But have said we can continue to use their cargo bike. We would like to continue as it’s greener and easier than a car around Old town.
> It takes approx 5/6 hours, 70 distribution points. We have the Hastings Cargo matrix for logistics. Fortnightly over Thursday/Friday. It’s a paid gig. Let me know if you have any questions?

If anyone is interested, contact HIP for details

A bit of information recently sent in to the club...

Hi,
I'm a cyclist, living in Skipton, and I've just published my first book which has good reviews on Amazon. It details a 16000-mile cycle journey I made from Argentina to Alaska. I'm desperately trying to get myself known and would be incredibly appreciative if you could share this with your cycling members. My book is available on Kindle or in paperback, even in the current lock-down.

Thank you and stay well!

Our friends in the "Hastings Urban Bikes" group are looking for people to attend their AGM on 17th March, and support their aims of improving cycling infrastructure in the Hastings area

HUB Needs Your Help.

Without more engagement from individuals who are keen to see better facilities for cycling locally, we will not be able to keep pressure on ESCC & HBC to improve infrastructure and safety for people on bikes in our town.

Please, if you can, come along to the AGM and get involved.
