If anyone can make it xx
We'd like to invite you to come along to our Twilight Walk this Sunday 30th January at 5pm from the Barton Le Clay Recreation Ground as we 'Walk Home' for George.
Covering 4km through the Barton Springs, we plan to walk by torch light across the top of the hills and back down again. Please wrap up warm and be prepared for some muddy ground in places.
Everyone is welcome, four legged friends included. There is limited parking on Old Road by the recreation ground, if you are coming by car, we suggest you use the Doctors Surgery car park on Hexton Road as it will be out of hours.
Donations are welcome to participate, you can use this link: https://gofund.me/76b6a19c or we will have collection buckets on the day.
We look forward to seeing you there as we come together to show our love and support to help Gorgeous George get home.
🙏🏻💙🥊

New ultra marathon comes to Greensand Country
Runners in Greensand Country area will have the opportunity to take part in the landscape’s first 50KM ultra marathon race, which will take place on 13 June 2021.
The 50KM Ultra Trail is being organised by Runaway Racing, a running events company which specialises in ultra marathons.
The inaugural event will be hosted at the Shuttleworth Estate in Old Warden, right in the heart of Greensand Country, the beautiful and much loved landscape defined by the Greensand Ridge, stretching from Leighton Buzzard to Gamlingay.
Chris Bradley, Event Director at Runaway Racing, says: “We’ve wanted to organise an event in the Greensand Country for years, it’s a beautiful place to run and we were surprised to find very few other ultras in the area.
“Our chief route planner, Tim Mills, lives locally and has chalked up thousands of miles over the years, so we’re confident it’s the best route we can make it. It’s relatively flat throughout lending to a fast and runnable course, plus there are only six styles/gates over the full distance.”
The 50KM circular route starts out on private trails within Shuttleworth and then heads to Old Warden, Deadman’s Cross and Haynes Church End. It then loops past Clophill, Chicksands, Shefford and onto Broom, skirting round Biggleswade before swinging back towards Shuttleworth to find the finish line.
The entire route will be marked out on race day and follows public footpaths, bridleways and tracks throughout. These routes are open to the public (except for within Shuttleworth) and are available to anyone who would like to explore the stunning area.

As the year draws to a close, this year for me has been all about running.
4 PBs, 2 marathons and getting out most days to survive the lockdown and homeschooling.
Never thought I would reach these goals and it started on one rainy evening in Silsoe, outside the church with you!
Looking forward to regrouping in 2021 when we are allowed and achieving more running goals together! ❤️🥳🏃♀️💪🏻
Happy New Year Silsoe Runners
