On Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 March some essential maintenance and plumbing upgrade works are taking place at the boat house.
During these two days facilities will be restricted, as follows:
no access to the men’s toilets
no access to the women’s showers and limited access to the changing rooms.
For the duration the women’s toilets will be unisex - there will be signage in place.
The contractors expect to finish by 5pm on Tuesday 24, however I will confirm once complete.
Thanks for your support and understanding.

Congratulations to the winner, Jim McPherson, but we still think Patrick O'Hara should have won
We were pleased to announce Jim Mc Pherson as the winner of this years Ed Ecclestone Award at Saturday's Slalom ACM. Congratulations, a worthy winner!
Highlights from Jim’s nomination:
Jim became involved in paddling and slalom at Aberdeen university in the 1970s and continued competing for many many years after as he became involved in running Selkirk Canoe club, running Fairnilee Slalom events, and running Grandtully Slalom events. He is a judge, Section judge and International judge, and also ran Gate Judging exams to improve the knowledge and standard of judging in Scotland. He was an active member of the Scottish Slalom committee for many years, and he also wrote the software timing program which Scottish Slalom use instead of Tutti. He has continued to be involved in Canoe Slalom to this day.
We would also like to recognise the contributions to the sport of the other nominees: Paul Evans, Peter Curry, Stewart Pitt, Patrick O'Hara and Rick Moore.
And 'thank you' to all those that volunteer in our sport

Sad news about a long-term member of the club:
John Gibbs died recently aged 89 after a short illness. John made a major contribution to the club over many years including getting the Charles Wells brewery both to set up the bar in the clubhouse and to sponsor the National Interclubs Slalom
John's funeral will take place at Roxton Congregational Chapel, High Street, Roxton MK44 3EB at 11am on Friday 12th September. Following the service, immediate family will be going to Bedford Crematorium, before returning to Roxton Village Hall for the wake. Those not coming to the Crematorium will be able to go straight to the hall for a cuppa, then food will be served once the family return from the crematorium
