Bedford Touch League is back for 2023, get a team together, get fit, stay fit.

🙂Though saying that the bar is open for a social drink with your friends, colleagues or team-mates.

THE WOODY TOURNAMENT – SUNDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER

Sunday 4th September will see what we hope will be a fitting celebration for the life of David Wood.

David was a great supporter of rugby, both at the club and in the wider region; his sudden death was a shock for all, but we can think of no other fitting way to celebrate his life than a fun rugby tournament.

The event is open to everyone (whatever your touch rugby ability is!), it’s purely for fun, teams can be mixed gender and ages (from 12 years upwards)

Teams:
• Teams are made up of 6 players and 8 substitutes
• Teams can be mixed gender AND age groups - rolling subs are permitted
• Team gazebos are permitted
• Fancy dress is welcomed should you wish

Age groups:
• Under 13s
• Under 16s
• Under 18s
• Adult
• Mixed Ages (adults and under 18s)

Games:
• Ten minute halves with 3 minutes half times
• Pitch size is half a normal rugby pitch
• Games are played throughout the day, progressing to knockout stages and a Final

Teams register @12:30 with first games @ 1pm - Bar and BBQ open all afternoon

Registration fee £10 per team - All registration fees going to Mind.org

Fresh off the press. Tonight’s elite final in the Bedford Summer League saw Bedford Eagles win the final 6-5 over Jets&Vets. Well done to all those that played over the duration of the league that lead to our first league title.

Here comes SUMMER !!!
Get together with friends, workmates or teammates and enter the BEDFORD TOUCH LEAGUE, get fit, keep fit and relax.

It was finals night for Bedford Touch League 2021 with some teams unable to make it fixtures were rearranged and so all teams had a chance to take a title.
In the Elite Division reining champions Vets and Jets were made to work to retain their hold on the cup, led by Danny B they were patient and worked good scoring opportunities and their intense defence was too good for their two opponents Bedford Eagles and Cooking on Fire.
The Social Division was hard fought and Hammer Time beat Bedford Warriors and The Baa Baas to take the title.

All to play for tomorrow night as Bedford Touch League has its final round of fixtures. Too close to call for Elite and Social leagues, but two teams will win these great trophies🙂
