Bedford Fencing Club is a dedicated three weapon club fencing Foil, Epee and Sabre on electric boxes. It caters for all standards from novice through to international and our coaching team is led by Prof. Jonathan Katz
Meeting every Tuesday at the Bunyan Centre, Mile Road, Bedford MK42 9TS from 7.30-9.30pm. (Please see our Membership page for details.( Note: Social membership of the BFA is a minimum requirement for insurance purposes).

Well, after a thrilling final between James Surtees and Jonah Atkinson , Jonah snatched victory and retains his title to win Balloon Champion 2025 for the second year in a row. Legend has it, he is one of only three fencers to win the title twice (shout out for Daren Tee and Will Coster) but the first to win consecutive titles. History in the making! Will he make it three in a row and go for 2026? Aron Szilagyi sends his regards! 😉.Thank you to all who joined in this evening and for making 2025 another great year. Merry Christmas all! 🎄☃️

Thanks to Dacorum Fencing Club for coming to us yesterday evening, for what was the last match of the season. It was a close one but our visitors claimed a 5-4 victory in both the foil and epée! It's now down to some maths wizardry to determine this season's winners!

Calling all foilists! This event, run by Hitchin Fencing Club is run over the weekend of 29th and 30th November. The Seniors on Saturday and Junior event on Sunday. All details in the link below. This is a great event for anyone wishing to experience a competition.for the first time, particularly for any of our younger fencers.

It was the final of the club foil this week, with Adrian and Tony battling it out for a medal. Adrian was the victor in the end but well done chaps! Club epée will be next and a chance for Master of Arms!🤺🏅

Don't forget there's still time to enter the Northants County Champs! Great competition for all weapons and levels!
Still time to enter , with places available in all weapons . We particularly wish to encourage senior foilists , junior foilists and senior sabreurs to enter .
Entry fees have been kept as low as possible , and there will be two rounds of poules and DEs for all . A full day of fencing .
