👋🏼 So long, farewell and thank you for all the amazing memories.
After 6 wonderful years, Heron and Hush has taken its final paddle strokes. It has been a well thought out and long process to reach this decision and hand on heart, I know It’s the right one, I can honestly say I am ending on a high and will cherish every memory from this little grass roots business, born out of my love for paddleboarding. All I ever really wanted was to get people together with a shared love of SUP and introduce as many people as I could, safely to the sport.
What followed was so much more.
I’ve had the privilege of providing free lessons for Looked After Children
Raised money for charity and supported the local John Bunyan Community Boat.
Created that SUP Community and with it came new and lasting friendships for those in it
I successfully managed my business safely through Covid
I’ve appeared in Magazines, on the radio, a podcast and even on TV!
With wall to wall 5 star reviews on Google, Facebook and Tripadvisor (apart from the fake review from ‘Guy’ who never paddled with us!) I can see that you have all loved every second as much as I have 🙏🏼
I’ve collaborated with the most wonderful people, , , , , , and to name a few.
And helped to introduce our flat water paddlers to open water on our trips to Wales & SUP Surf weekends
I honestly have so much love for , which has been the best little home for the last two years, the staff, atmosphere (and food!) are Incredible 🫶🏻
To everyone that has paddled with me, supported Heron & Hush, your kind words, the fun, laugher and friendship. Thank you 🙏🏼 love ya xx

❄️ I hope you all enjoyed a flurry or two of snow! ❄️
Just a little heads-up regarding local paddling, the Strong Stream Advice has been issued for the River Great Ouse today and we are also expecting some pretty crazy wind gusts from the early hours of Friday morning and continuing over the weekend, courtesy of Storm Bert ⛈️
Given the weather and water conditions, it’s safest off the water for now, so head into to cosy up in front of the fire and take in the river views with some hearty food.

Feeling grey-tful today
Sunday morning SUP Club, taking time to remember the fallen and honour our two minute silence, enjoying the reasonably mild weather, no wind, great chat, an inquisitive swan, cupcakes, and a calm river - it was just a tad on the grey side!

Winter paddles are back!
Our next SUPper club is next Sunday, 10th November at 10:30am
These paddles are for those with previous experience who are able to paddle competantly and to self-rescue.
The winter season generally means paddling in more challenging weather and water conditions.
We are of course, rewarded this time of year with quieter waterways and the beautiful changing colours! 🍂
Plus our club discount to use in afterwards to warm up! ☕️

Well it’s been a little minute!
The sky doesn’t look like this anymore and neither does the river! 😔
After a lovely holiday, I returned to the torrential rain, flooding and grey skies that September brought us, meaning the summer season ended abruptly and we still aren’t back to safe levels and flow to start Winter paddling just yet!
So this is just a ‘Hello again’👋🏼 from me and to say that when everything mother nature has thrown at us, calms down a little more, I will pop up some Winter Club Dates on our website for booking for our experienced paddlers.
No more lessons until 2025 now 😔 but how nice to have something to look forward to next year already!!
Its the PERFECT time of year to cosy up in The Kingfisher with some hearty food and drinks 😉
