So today it was the tap exams to finish off our busy exam term. Well done everyone, you’ve worked so hard.

A busy day of ISTD modern exams yesterday. Well done everyone, you have all worked really hard and it was good to see you all coming out happy and pleased with yourselves.

We are proud to announce that Evie Backhurst is the Winner of Greenwood Drones' Young Performer Award at the Aspire Awards 2026, presented by Harvey Greenwood, Founder of Greenwood Drones.

Evie is just 10 years old and already competing and winning at regional and national level in both dance and drama. She has achieved 17 first places in drama festivals since January 2024, qualified solos to the All England Dance finals, won the Jane Whitbread Cup for the most outstanding junior speech and drama performance at the Bedfordshire Gala, and been named Most Promising Junior Performer at the Northampton festival. She does all of this while managing severe migraines triggered by stage lights and anxiety in crowded spaces — and she does it without complaint, often battling through a performance before telling anyone afterwards.

Evie, you are extraordinary. Congratulations.

Congratulations to Bernie who was invited to a photo shoot by the National Youth Ballet Performance Company to advertise their courses. We can’t wait to see the photos! Well done Bernie.

Such an expressive performance by Emily, but boy are we glad shes not having to wear that costume in this heat! It was bad enough during the May half term when she performed her character solo🌞

Sierra is busy practicing her tap solo ready for the AED finals in just over a months time. We are looking forward to watching you perform Sierra.
