⚽️ Double header weekend for Clapham Sports! 🔰

Tomorrow, both our teams are ready to bounce back after a couple of tough weeks. 💛💚

The First Team travels to Shefford Town & Campton Development for an away showdown, while our Reserves defend home turf against Clophill Firsts. Both teams are ready to give it their all! 🏆

🔰 It’s the first double header of the campaign. 🔰

Clapham Firsts take on AFC Bedford United in their second game of the season. after a nail biting 1-1 draw last week The Hams will be looking so make their mark on the table with 3 points.

The Reserves take on a familiar opponent in Wooton Blue Cross. The Ressies first game of the season won’t be an easy one but Clapham will be confident in getting a result today.

Both games kick off at 14:30.

First team - Home, Clapham Village Hall

Reserves - Away, Wooton Community Centre

🔰 Final scores 🔰 Saturday saw both Clapham teams in action against Everton Athletic FC.

The reserve teams played first with Everton just getting the win despite several late attempts from Clapham to equalise. The game ended 2-1 but both teams battled really well and look forward to playing each other in the league.

Clapham’s First team then took the stage and completed a 6-0 win against a weakened Everton team. Clapham played very well and maintained concentration to keep the clean sheet also.

🔰 Pre season kicked off this weekend with a difficult match against Queens Park Crescent Development.

QPC came out on top this occasion but Clapham showed positivity and tenacity against good team in the division above.

With lots of positives to take from this game Clapham will look to next weeks double header against a newly named Everton team. Both teams will be in action. Stay tuned for details later this week.

- PLAYERS WANTED

Clapham kick off the 24/25 season in July with pre season training. We are looking for players to strengthen both our First Team and our Reserve Team.

We were delighted to sponsor two great events for Clapham Football Club over the half term break!

First up was the club's football camp on Wednesday and Thursday for under 6, 7, and 8-year-olds. The young players got to test their skills through lots of drills and training, fuelled by hot dogs for lunch!

On Friday, Beds and County Golf Club hosted a fun charity golf outing to support Clapham FC. Golfers faced penalties and fines as they played through, all in the name of raising funds. An auction also brought in more donations for the club.

As a proud sponsor of Clapham Football Club, M&DH was honoured to back both of these terrific community events. Supporting youth sports and providing positive activities for kids aligns with our core values.

Clapham Sports are looking for a new recruit to help coach one of the two Saturday league teams we have. We have 2 teams, one in division 2 north, and one in division 4 of the Bedfordshire County League.

This Saturdays match against Sandy resulted in a well deserved and hard fought 3 points. With just one goal in it, striker was the difference this weekend.

Not only a win but a clean sheet also, earned new boy the Player of the match.

Clapham are back on the road next week with their first match in the cup. 🟡🟢
