Hi everyone, there is an important message from John regarding club nights below, please read:
Dear members
I’m e-mailing about our re-opening the club for club night play.
We have to comply with government restrictions, which means using only two courts, at least initially.
The intention is that there would be two sessions on two courts on each club night.
Each session would have 6 players on each court in line with government requirements
The sessions would be :
Court 1 - session 1: 7.00 pm to 8.20pm
session 2: 8.30pm to 9.50pm
Court 3 - session 1: 7.10pm to 8.30 pm
session 2: 8.40pm to 10.00 pm
That would allow up to 24 players to play on each club night (with some players able to play twice).
There will be a booking system for members to say they want to play. More details will be sent out shortly.
We intend to trial the new system on Tuesday 8th September and then introduce it for all club nights from the following week.
There will be a separate e-mail to Tuesday members shortly about how to book via Jake Forsyth.
We are looking for member(s) willing to be a Covid officer on Monday nights – if anyone would like to volunteer for this, please let me know. We will be giving guidance to the Covid officers. The Covid officers will incidentally be able to play on the night they’re officiating.
The toilets and kitchen cannot currently be used and we ask members to bear that in mind.
The committee intends to reduce the subscriptions for the coming season, probably by 50% for existing members, to take account of the fact that members have missed 6 months of play in the current season.
There will be a handout for all members about Covid precautions and we will have to comply with track and trace requirements.
Kind Regards
John Orozco

Dear member,
I’m writing on behalf of the committee of Bedford & County BC to let you know that the hall will be closed to club play, league matches , tournaments and hall hire for the foreseeable future.
That is because of the Government guidance in relation to the Corona virus (and we are expecting that it will shortly be illegal to continue play at the club).
I will let you know when we are able to re-open the club for play.
The committee wish all players the best of health in the meantime and to see you when we re-open.
Kind Regards,
John
