Nancy has recently stepped up to this level and we have been really impressed and pleased with how she’s handled it. Our main focus has been on keeping a positive, balanced and rhythmical canter allowing her to take her time and concentrate on the jumps.

We couldn’t be more pleased with how she tackled this round 🤩

Each week we will be documenting Freddie’s fitness journey, and how we are bringing him back from his holiday, ready for the season ahead.

Day 1/2: 15-20 minutes walk trot work in the menage.

Day 3/4: introduced some gentle hacking for approx 20-30 mins.

Day 5: introduced some more trot work out on the roads.

Bruno was an absolute star, showing what a lovely and versatile boy he is 🌟 we focused on keeping a balanced and rhythmical canter over the various combinations, which (we hope you agree) Bruno made look effortless.

A small moment of reflection and an insight into the training behind the scenes 🥺 sometimes you need to look back at how far you’ve come ❤️

The first clips are of Bruno from less than a year ago. He had very little balance and struggled to canter on the right rein (it should be noted there were absolutely no medical reasons for this, he just didn’t have the necessary training and/or strength). He couldn’t travel in a straight line and had absolutely no stamina. We were essentially starting from scratch.

However, we saw the potential in him and decided to bring him home and get started on a training programme 💪🏻

Fast forward to the last few clips and he is now a completely different horse. He is super balanced and performs his changes without missing a beat. He is confidently jumping round newcomers (with scope for more), has hunted round some big country and is just an all round good boy. We are so proud of how far he has come and he is testament that with time, patience and the correct approach, you can achieve great things 🙌🏻

I don’t think we’ve ever had such a chatty foal but this little lady has been an absolute fire cracker from the moment she hit the floor 🔥☄️

We might be bias but we cannot wait to see what the future holds for her because she certainly is a character and sure to be something special.
