Weekend results 🏏

1st XI welcomed Warkworth CC to Hirst head in their final home game of the season.
Warkworth won the toss and decided they wanted to have a bat first.

Warkworth got off to a very strong start finding themselves 120-2 in the 35th over, before our bowlers applied the pressure to end the Warkworth innings for 152.

With the bat we managed to chase the total down in 45.2overs for the loss of 7 wickets to secure the win and the league title!

2nd XI were away to Civil Service CC 1stXI and after losing the toss were asked to have a bat.

We finished our innings 209-7 from the 50 overs with S.Khokhar scoring his maiden 50 for the club.

A couple of early wickets saw us in a good position having Civil Service 83-4 but a strong partnership took the game away from us and we lost by 5wickets.

Our U11s ended their 2026 season with a trip to the picturesque Blagdon Park on Friday! A cracking game of cricket with new faces on both sides taking part, was a fitting end to the season!

Congratulations to Toby making his debut and performing fantastically behind the stumps!

Winter nets await and the team are already buzzing for the 2027 season!

Matchday 20 results 🏏

First XI beat Bates Cottages by 9 wickets to claim promotion to Division 1 🥳

We bowled first and Bates were all out for 156. Could have been a lot less if we hadn’t dropped 9 catches!

In reply we chased the total down after 33 overs. Nick with his third hundred of the season to see us home finishing 112* from 111 deliveries.

Second team hosted Blagdon 2s where Cal won the toss and bowled first. Blagdon posted 294-8 from their 50 overs.
