Doyle 13’s 1 - 3 Willowbank

This week was silent Saturday in the programme where the boys used only their own initiative without the help of coaches. The boys where up against a stubborn Willowbank side who defended well blocking numerous attempts at goal and clearing their lines well. Plenty of chances for the Doyle but the lads just couldn’t put the ball in the net. On the scoresheet today was Paddy McAllister with a calm finish into the bottom corner. Some great phases of passing and individual performance by all the boys. Keep up the great work boys, very unlucky today. 💙🤍⚽️

Doyle 13’s 7 - 2 East Belfast

MOTM this week was awarded to Nathan Donaghy for bagging himself a load of goals (and costing his da a fortune this week). After training hard and practicing shooting throughout the week, the hard work paid off with some clinical finishing. Keep up the good work 👏

A cold and wet morning didn’t stop the boys from enjoying a great game of football against a good East Belfast side, some great defending from Matej Topolic and Joshua Millar that stopped anything getting through. On the scoresheet today was Nathan Donaghy x5, Jaiden Lennon x2. Jaiden played some amazing balls through to the strikers today, great vision and awareness. Well done to all the boys today, every one of them were tremendous 👏💙🤍⚽️

Doyle 13’s 4 - 1 Newhill (12/02/2022)

MOTM couldn’t be split between Matej and Danny as the two boys were amazing at the back. Great defending and reading of the game from both lads, well done 👏

Another great game of football from the 13’s against a good Newhill side who didn’t stop attacking until the end. On the score sheet today was Seun McCreesh x2, Cian O’Donnell and Joshua Millar. Some great defence splitting passes by Pat McCallister set up a few chances, great signs of the teams development. Well done lads 👏💙🤍⚽️

Doyle 1 - 2 Belfast Celtic Cubs (05/02/2022)

MOTM was awarded to Jaiden Lennon. This was Jaidens first game back with the 13’s and what a game he had. Great ball control, reading of the game and also bagged himself a well taken goal, we’ll done Jaiden 👏

The boys played a great game against a good Belfast Celtic team. End to end stuff with both teams having plenty of chances. Good to get the boys back at it again, great game! 💙🤍⚽️

The 13’s Christmas Day out 🎄

After two years of no Christmas Day we finally got to take them away paintballing for the day at ‘The Mill’ for all the hard work they put in at training and on match days.
It was a privilege getting to take this bunch of lads away on a craicing day out and seeing a smile on all thier faces.

Doyle 4 - 3 Ballysillan Swifts

MOTM - Matej Topolic
Matej put in a solid display at the back today, making some strong vital challenges that kept the team in front. Great signs of development, keep up the good work 👏

Todays game was Silent Saturday, where coaches where not allowed to shout on instructions and the kids use their own initiative. The boys did very well keeping their positions and moving the ball well at times. It was a very tough game against a tough Ballysillan side that had us holding on to the lead right to the end. Goals today came from Joshua Millar x2, Nathan Donaghy x1 and Cian O’Donnell x1, all the boys took their goals really well. Great win for the kids and good signs of development. Well done 💙🤍⚽️

Doyle 1 - 3 Ballynahinch Youth

MOTM award went to Paddy McAllister today. Paddy was super at the back, winning his individual battles, very composed on the ball and put in a hard shift for the team. Well done Paddy, keep up the good development 👏

As for the team, the boys done everything but put the ball in the net. Going 1-0 up in a cold, miserable morning, they looked as if they would go on and score another few, but good defensive work and some great saves from the Ballynahinch keeper done enough to keep us out. On the scoresheet was Cohen x1 with a great finish into the bottom corner. Well done to all the kids today, they worked really hard and deserved a load more goals 💙🤍⚽️

Doyle 13’s 4 - 3 Aquinas Tsunami

A big well done to Joshua Millar on being awarded today’s MOTM. Joshua has been consistent for the 13’s this season and played really well on the right hand side today, using the space well, setting up two goals and bagging one himself. Well done kid! 👏

The boys started off brilliantly going 4 up in the first period, with some great play starting from the goal keeper and working their way up the pitch on several occasions. The boys made hard work of the game by letting a good Aquinas side find their way back but the Doyle managed to hold out for the win. On the score sheet today was Nathan Donaghy x2, who slotted his second goal away with confidence, Joshua Millar x1 and Seun McCreesh, who scored the goal of the match with a cheeky flick through the keepers legs.

Doyle 13’s 4 - 1 Aquinas Hurricanes

This weeks MOTM went to Lorcan Ward this week for making two great saves to keep the Doyle in front and great improvement in his passing and decision making. Great development from Lorcan, keep it up kid! 👏

The boys where loving it being back playing again this week after having the week off, and they didn’t disappoint! The weather turned for the worst with the wind blowing a gale and the rain pelting, but it didn’t stop the boys playing some lovely football at times and getting the better of a good Aquinas side. All the kids played well, one-two football and some great defending too. On the scoresheet today was Joshua Millar x2, Nathan Donaghy x1 and an OG, two boys took their goals well.

There were good signs of player development in today’s game, and the kids enjoyed it despite the weather, well done the 13’s 💙🤍⚽️

Doyle 1 - 5 Sandyrow

Well done Matej Topolic on winning today’s MOTM. Matej is developing into a good leader on the field and fairly put himself through the wars against a tough side. Keep up the great work Matej 👏

The boys definitely weren’t at their best against a very well organised Sandyrow side. They came close a couple of times with the Sandyrow keeper pulling off some great saves. A shout out to Lorcan Ward for pulling off some cracking saves to keep the score respectable. On the scoresheet was Nathan Donaghy who was up like a salmon the put away a good header. Well done and hard luck the 13’s 💙🤍⚽️
