Sharing some of this week’s practice, inspired by two of my teachers — and from .

As a lifelong student, I’m forever curious about how our bodies work, how they move, how they are connected, and how we can use them.

Curiosity, practice and patience is all you need on this adventure 💪✨

I’m now bringing my two worlds together — classical Pilates and foot and balance training.

They are a perfect match.

In mat class with Caroline at we’ve been focusing on control balance the last two weeks.

It inspired me to return to some overhead exercises I haven’t practiced for a little while on the reformer.

I love going overhead but I didn’t always love it!

I was a bit scared at first because of my long spine — and fourteen years of desk-based work had me fighting gravity against tighter hips, legs, shoulders and back. Feeling a bit squished.

Seeing playing on his beam this week (I’ll share his post for reference) inspired me too — it mirrored Pilates exercises on the reformer and guillotine.

I love finding length, opening, and movement in my spine and in my hips with semi-circle on the reformer and on the edge of the cadillac. But again, I didn’t always love it!

My TFC practice has helped me get even better connected to my feet🦶

More mobile feet, more toe extension and increased strength in my feet and ankles.

This is supporting my Pilates practice, just as my Pilates practice supports my foot and balance training.

Our bodies are amazing.

Given the right the inputs and environments, they have a way of self-organising and they can be trained to adapt.

Join me in the studio for positive environments, inputs and a supportive guide who wants to support you with your journey!

Thanks to the curious, open-minded and fun group who joined me at last weekend for the Find your Feet workshop.

It’s been so cool hearing from different people this week about what they got out of the workshop. (Thanks for your review too Geraldine 🙏)

From looking at their footwear and realising the impact their footwear has on their foot health and its ability to function as intended 🩴👞👟👡

To being excited about starting training their feet and balance with exercises we did for strong and resilient feet 👣

🤔💭 The workshop helps connect the dots between your feet, your body, and the environments and inputs we expose them to.

It’s all connected but often we’re missing a part of the puzzle.

Would you love to explore this more?

I’m planning on doing this workshop again in the not too distant future.

Drop me a message if you are keen to join the next workshop and I’ll keep you posted🦶👋
