“Ryan I’m so Sick of Stopping and Starting all the Time. Help!”
This is one of the most common things I hear when people first enquire with me.
There’s a few reasons why this may be happening
• You’re Coming in too hot 🔥
This will probably sound familiar… Imagine you are starting a dieting phase. Motivation is high so you go all in. 5 resistance workouts, 3 runs and 2 HIIT workouts per week, 1300 cals a day and 15k steps a day.
Let me tell you, you’re going to get FANTASTIC Results over the next few weeks! But guess what, you can’t keep this up. Week 4, your time of the month hits, your cravings sky rocket and your weight bounces back up. You don’t know how to handle this, so you say “What’s the point” and quit.

• You don’t have the right Support or Accountability 👊
Your only accountability is yourself and your husband/boyfriend, and although he’d love you to succeed, he’s the one badgering you on a Friday Night to stop off at the Chinese on your way home from work. When your only accountability is someone who is generally a bad influence, this is a recipe for disaster.

• You’re Chasing Numbers ⚖️ instead of Ticking Boxes ✅
Whether this is on the scales or body measurements, generally this will be a big part of your goal which is great and very important to include. But let’s be real here. You’re a woman. There are times of the month when you get bloated, the scales might go the wrong direction, and the measurements might do the same. This is a massive pill to swallow for my clients when they come on board with me. After a couple on months though, they learn to see the patterns each month and learn to expect this. You NEED to know how to manage your emotions and expectations around this.

4 months into having a Coach for a boyfriend 👫
The best part of this is, the before picture was part of a photoshoot and Rachel still looks better in the after pic taken on iPhone 🤳🏽
Here’s what she did…
Strength Training 4-5 times per week
Literally eating more than me most days (and I eat 3500+ cals 😅)
That’s literally it.
7kg up and it’s all going to the right places 🍑

Rachel always struggled with the idea of putting on weight and now that she’s doing it, she feels the best she ever has!

How My Most Successful Clients get Results
Here’s a few tips for you if want to maximise your results, while working with me, or any other great coach
💡 Trust - Let me take the wheel. Just like any successful relationship, either personal or professional, if there’s no trust, it’s not going to be a great time for either of us
💡 Consistency - You MUST be able to carry out what’s asked of you on a consistent basis. A good coach will never ask anything of you that is outside your capabilities. Without consistency, you won’t get far in any aspect of life. Period.
💡 Communication - Communication, just like Trust, is the hallmark of a great relationship. Ask great questions frequently. If you don’t tell me your problem, I can’t help you solve it.
💡 Implementation - It’s all well and good asking your coach plenty of questions and having all the answers, but unless you are willing to take action, that new found knowledge is useless to you.
💡 A Clear “Why” - I talk about this a lot in my content, and for good reason. If you don’t have a meaningful reason why you want to get to your goal, I’m afraid you may never get there. Setting a Goal is not enough, it’s how hitting that goal is going to make you feel.
Have all this nailed down, and you’ll be unstoppable. You’d also be someone who’d work very well as part of the Go Figure team 😌

The New Starts have had a Blinder so far in 2022
I thought I’d share some of their wins to help inspire some of you guys if you haven’t managed to get the wheels in motion yet this year…
Emma has done extremely well in her first 10 days. She has ticked every single box ive given to her and has been rewarded by already looking and feeling so much better, not to mention she’s over 3kg down 🤩
Lauren started on Monday past and she’s already ready had some huge wins! Perhaps the biggest win was showing up to a gym on Monday night at peak times, leaving because she felt overwhelmed, and then telling herself “no, let’s try a different gym” and not throwing in the towel. Hugggeeee Respect, as she only has limited experience using a gym!
Tanya also started Monday past, and what I week its been so far! She’s made huge improvements to her nutrition, her training, and overall routine is definitely in the process of changing for the better!
We have had other new starts achieving amazing things but I’d be here all day if I named every will we’ve had in the team this week haha
The thing is, these women are no different to you.
So imagine achieving some of these things yourself and how you’d be feeling!

The Biggest Challenge you’re facing right now…
Ok, before I start, I don’t claim to be some sort of metic fortune teller, so if I’m a bit off here, forgive me haha
I do how ever get speaking to a lot of you on a weekly basis and I see the same problems come up every time.
You tell me its not knowing enough about nutrition
You tell me its not know what to do in the gym
And while these are problematic, it’s not the real reason you haven’t got to where you want to be yet…
The real problem is believing you can actually do it.
Seems a bit airy fairy.
But this one thing will stop you from achieving so much in life.
The girls on my programme and the girls in the results that I post are no different than you.
They have a similar starting point, sometimes maybe even a worse starting point than you right now.
But they said “Ok, im going to do it this time”, they reached out for help, and now they’re taking action.
If you done those those 3 things today, you’re life will be drastically improved in the next 6-12 months.
It’s as simple as that.

My “WHY” behind starting Go Figure
It’s easy to look at someone like myself who has been training for years and assume it’s genetics, or that I’ve always been in shape…
Personally, that couldn’t be further from the truth!
I remember hating my body from as early as primary 6 (9-10 years old), right the way into my early 20’s.
That’s 10+ years.
I remember being the smallest kid in class, and not only that but I was born with a concave chest (called Pectus Excavatum for any nerds reading haha)
My worst nightmare was having to take my top off in front of anybody.
That means I dreaded things like, changing rooms, holidays, swimming pools, and even talking to girls for fear it would lead to me being shirtless 😅
This sounds like a big “Poor Ryan sob story”, but it’s not..
The point I’m trying to make is, I’ve been there.
I know what it feels like to deprive yourself of certain things in life because of how you feel about your body.
That’s no way to live!
This is exactly why I do what I do.
To be able to help women come from a place where they’ve hated their bodies for years on end,
To a place where they’re strong, confident and educated enough to progress for the rest of they’re lives.
I honestly love this s**t haha..

Welcome Newbie’s 👶
This week we’ve been lucky enough to welcome Emma & Tanya onto the programme! (Among others, shout-out Ashlene and Lauren 🔊)
Tanya is from Portadown with 2 kids and loves to train already.
She’s joined the programme because she’s sick of spinning her wheels with quick fix programmes that end up leaving her worse off than she started!
Her main goal is fat loss and in 6 months she wants to be able to feel a little bit more confident in her clothes, and become educated to the point when she can continue doing this herself one day.

Now Emma is a little bit different because she has been on the programme before and completely changed her life (this included losing 20 kilos!)
Amazingly like a lot of my clients, she’s been able to maintain these result over the past year which is part what we do here at Go Figure!
Her main reason for joining the programme is that she wants to step things up a notch and take both her life and physique to the next level.
She knows she’s in the right place, now we just gotta put in the work, and you won’t recognise this woman 😎
I’m over the moon to have these women on the programme.
The one thing that struck me and something that the both have in common is that they both really want this for themselves.
Both Tanya & Emma know that they deserve better, and now they know what they need to do and are willing to work for it.

What the Women inside Go Figure do differently to most other programmes 👩
You seen the amount/quality of amazing results we achieved in 2022
There are a few things we do differently around here though to be able to do this
One of the main things are that we focus on long term sustainable results
Although you see transformations posted regularly on our feed, these are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to client results
Any old coach can get their clients from A to B in 12 weeks, and many do
But to get them from A to B while empowering them with the right knowledge and experience to maintain that
Or even to move towards C, D, E themselves one day…
Well, that can be tricky, but that’s exactly what we do here at Go Figure.
