🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Congratulations to all the prize winners in the inaugural Hickey Clark and Langan Northwest 5K! Your outstanding performances helped make the first running of this event a memorable success.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, from the front runners to those who crossed the finish line with a smile. Your support, enthusiasm, and community spirit are what made the event so special.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors, whose generous support made the event possible, and to all the marshals and volunteers who gave their time and effort to ensure everything ran smoothly and safely.

U15 LAC athletes in Ulsters -
Firstly we had 2 boys in the high jump, Jay Harrison & Ethan Bourne. Jay jumped brilliantly to claim a silver medal with a new pb of 1.55m to qualify for the All Irelands. Ethan jumped well to finish 5th, just missing qualification.
Next up was Baylin Devlin in his first competition for the club. Baylin excelled in the shot putt claiming the silver medal with a huge throw of 10.37m and also threw strongly in the javelin to finish 4th with a new pb of 23.85m 💪 Baylin qualified in both events for the All Irelands.
In the discus, Ethan threw strongly to finish 4th and qualify for the All Irelands with a new pb of 13.80m.

In the 100m sprint we had Leon Evans and Adi Almi making their Ulster debut, running fantastically with Leon making the final and Ade just missing out by 0.5 of a second. Leon went on to finish 6th in the final with a great effort in a strong field.
In the 200m both Darragh McGuirk and Leon Evans qualified from the heats to make the final and in what was the last event of the day. Darragh ran a strong race claiming 4th and all Ireland qualification and a new PB with Leon completing a great Ulster Debut with another 6th place finish. Congratulations everyone 👏

Letterkenny AC are proud to continue promoting their Inclusive Athletics Programme for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder 💙

This wonderful programme provides children aged 7–13 with the opportunity to enjoy athletics in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment through running, jumping and throwing activities led by trained coaches. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The programme is all about participation, confidence building, friendship and ensuring children of all abilities feel welcome in sport. 💙

Fantastic Success for Our Young Athletes at the Ulster Championships! 🏅

What a tremendous day of competition and achievement for our U12 athletes!

🥇 Charlie O’Brien soared to Gold in the Boys U12 Long Jump with an outstanding leap of 4.19m.

🥈 Daire Cullen produced a superb performance in the Boys U12 Shot Putt, throwing a new competition personal best to secure Silver.

In the Boys U12 High Jump, Soliu Alimi and Donnacha McConville both reached the podium, claiming Silver and Bronze respectively after excellent displays.

🥇 The Boys U12 Relay team of Rueben Dadon, Aidan McNulty, Eli Gourley, Charlie O’Brien, and Donnacha McConville dug deep in what was undoubtedly one of the races of the day, battling fiercely with Finn Valley to claim a hard-fought Gold Medal.

The Girls U12 Shot Putt saw another dominant display from our talented throwers, with Sarah Russell taking Gold and Beth Duffy securing Silver, continuing their excellent form this season.

A huge congratulations to all our athletes for their dedication, determination, and outstanding performances. You have done yourselves, your families, and the club proud! 👏💚💛
